Lovely Small Hotel on a quiet residential street. Only a 3 minute walk from the Metro Stop Weesperplein ... which is 3 stops from Centraal Station. Its a 2 minute walk from Tram lines 7 and 10 and a 5 min walk from line 14. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfy. There's a kettle...

I visited for 2 nights with a friend. Apron arrival, staff were very friendly, our room was clean, the beds wasn't the most comfortable but they were acceptable. Thought the hotel was slightly overpriced, but this could have been the days that we chose to go. Would stay here again.

Acceptable room, comfy bed, private toilet ok. Quiet street, 2 min walk to Metro Wesserplein, 3 stops to Central Station or any other place. Close to Amstel river, Carré theater. You can walk also in 30 min almost any where around Amsterdam. For breakfast, we reccomend Bakhuis bakery, as they bake fresh croissants and many other very good breads and...

Convenient for city centre and the immediate area which has plenty of attractions. We expected to use public transport a great deal but ended up walking everywhere as it was so convenient. It is housed in a quaint building with character but inside it has been modernised so has everything you need. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff...

Well located hotel and just 5 mins walk to the metro. We also walked into the city centre along the river which only took 20 mins too. Hotel was clean and perfectly adequate for our needs and represented good value for money. Staff were attentive to our needs and happy to help. Lots of leaflets and special discount vouchers in...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
