Amsterdam is excellent especially when you can stop being a tourist. I was not well this trip but the comfort of the room, bed and the peace of watching the canal, made me have a fondness for the hotel that I will never forget. It was our second trip here this year and we had the same room both times....

We stayed here between Christmas and New Year. Loved this place. Friendly chatty staff and cool interior. Great bar at the front of the hotel and very good location. DVDs were available on reception. Breakfast was very good.

We have been in that apartment this past weekend, and we thought this was kind of Bed and Breakfast, but actually it is private apartment. We liked it a lot. Timea is the person in charge, and she's very kind and at disposal of clients. The room was big, very warm and clean. No noise at all, and the location...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Canal rooms. Timea was very helpful and friendly, especially as our luggage didn't arrive until the following day!! She also decorated the room for my husbands birthday. The hotel was old and comfortable. Only a 5 minute walk to central station, and close to everything. With tea and coffee making facilities, we thought...

We enjoyed 4 nights at Canal House Hotel. We were lucky to get a 'Great' category room with a canal view, which was very nice. The room was enough space for a couple, and there was a separate bathroom. The room contained a comfy bed, leather sofa, and desk. The decor included purple velvet pillows, velvet coverlet, and velvet drapes....

Small hotel in a very nice area, near Anna Franks museum, and quite good restaurants. reasonable walking or bicycle ride distance from lots of attractions. It´s a bit expensive. Staff is very helpful, breakfast was quite good. Nice garden we didn´t have the time to enjoy . my room was small but reasonable , well equipped, very comfortable bed and...

We had a bad experience at the Hotel Arena in Amsterdam and last minute found Canal House. We were so happy to move to the Canal House which was so much cleaner and nicer than Hotel Arena. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean and the beds were a little soft, but overall we had a good stay. The staff...

Mary and I had a very nice three nights at the Canal House. It's well located within a couple of blocks of the light rail and a short walk from the main square or the RDL. All of the people we dealt with were helpful and polite. The rooms were nicely appointed, great duvet covers on the comfortable bed. We...

Everything was spectacular. Exceeded the expectations I had. The room has everything you need and is very quiet. We get a key that enables us to enter and leave at that hour that we want giving us very much freedom to walk around. Most of the stuff I bought at the supermarket and cooked in apartament. No doubt that helps...

Upon arrival at the Canal House we were greeted by a very confused young girl who swiftly made a phone call when we announced we'd like to check-in, our hearts sank, we could sense something wasn't right at all !! The phone was then thrust into my hand as the owner on the phone informed me she did not have...
