Strange at the breakfast, that you crack an egg open and fry it by yourself. I did not want to screw anything, so I just had something different for the breakfast. But the staff is really helpful and nice, they fixed my heating and the knob on my door very quickly upon request!

This hotel was cozy, fun, and a perfect location. I purposely chose this one because it's so close to everything I wanted to see, and I didn't want to have to be taking a lot of public transportation to get back to a hotel at the end of the day, or too late at night. (Especially since I would be...

From the moment we arrived we felt ace and welcome. Simon and the other guy were excellent at helping us find everything we needed and where to go. There's even a chalk board with the local gigs on in the bar area. Play a guitar and rehearse? No problem. Nice low action on the guitars too. Our room was fabulous...

We stayed at the BackStage Hotel for 3 nights and were really pleased with our time there. The rooms are very simple and well-lit, the bathrooms ar nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Fresh flowers were delivered the first day we were there, too. That was such a nice touch. The rooms are smaller than they appear in the...

The staff is incredibly nice. The location is really good with some really nice bar just a few meters away by walking. The hotel has a 'partnership' with a taxi company to bring you to the airport for 37,5€. Really good hotel if you are here to party, otherwise it's really loud. Note that the shower is common - better...

On arrival we were upgraded to a ensuite room on the 4th floor. The stairs are very steep and narrow but most buildings are here. Staff are very friendly and gave us directions whenever we needed them. Having a pool table was great. Several english channels on the tv. Great location for shops and attractions. Didn't try the breakfast.

A very nice themed hotel located in a quiet place, it is 30min walk from the central station but also close to many site seeing locations, you can also take the tram to Leidseplein station which is two blocks away, there are lot of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, the rooms were comfortable and clean, I had one with a...

We came to the city with very little knowledge and the gentlemen who worked here were so helpful. The accommodations were fine but honestly the service sold it. The recommended great food and beers to try

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
