Stairs to upstairs rooms dangerous , so steep and narrow. Every night had issue with room , not cleaned one night , toilet problem , no soap etc. . Breakfast was good and included.Location opposite train station and bus terminal was convenient and close to shopping and old centre of town.

We have just returned from here, on the 26th August. Lets start with the positives, it is in an excellent location, very central really good links for transport and close to the city centre. It is was clean we received clean towels daily and the room was also cleaned daily. The staff are friendly and helpful. Negatives, lack of pillows...

We stayed here in June 2016 and loved the convince of being close to the train station as we used this as our home base. They made us feel very welcome on entering and took us to our room. No elevator and the stairs were quite steep. If that is a problem choose another room location. We loved having dinner...

There is nothing glamorous about this hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient - but not bountiful and could have benefited from a few additional buffet options. The remarkable part of this hotel was the welcome from the staff and the service we received during our stay. Above and beyond and made for...

Good family run hotel. Bed and breakfast. No frills. Simple room with nice comfy bed, heater, clean washroom, stand-up shower stall (no curtain), TV and WiFI. Friendly owners and staff. Stayed in 2007 May and went again 2015 June. The place Alkmaar is a nice village. Connected to Airport and other areas by Metro and Bus. Both Terminals opposite to...

Nice and comfortable room, although not completely finished after a renovation. But who cares about hooks on the door when you can collapse on a good bed. Everything low key but with good service, including the breakfast.

Booked from UK as I had meetings in Alkmaar. Flew to Schipol and took the train to Alkmaar with a journey time of just 40 minutes. The Hotel is opposite the station and bus station both of which I could not hear from my room or the restaurant or did that spoil my stay (in fact the Station is quite...

Interesting, that hotel is small, and we and our friends got rooms in different places of building – every 2-3 rooms have separate entrance door. Breakfast was in central part of building, with “official” entrance, near reception. In general, our stay was Ok. Rooms are quite clean. Breakfast was normal. People on reception were polite. What I did not like:...

Very cozy and nice hotel with a very friendly staff! It's close to downtown Alkmaar and right acrss from the train station, which comes in handy for checking out the surrounding villages. Bergen for instance is a nice town to visit, only 4 km from Alkmaar. Nice restaurant with a good menu and a very afordable day special. Will definately...
