Arrived at the hotel 23rd May for 2 nights expecting a pool, as on their website, just to be told it was in the local leisure centre. We never book a hotel without a pool. Beds comfortable, but could not sleep due to having a room at the front road, traffic all night. Room too warm, couldnt open the window due to noise, was told there was a fan in the wardrobe. On leaving waiting for the lift, staff member was lifting clean bedding and towels from the lift floor and threw it onto the floor outside lift. We asked was there no trolley, (thinking of her manually handling), but on reflection very unhygienic. Staff in dining room and breakfast excellent, food good. Could say value for money, but left feeling disappointed.

I recently stayed here for 3 nights and I can recommend it to anyone. The food is excellent and my gluten-free diet was no problem at all. The staff are helpful and friendly- a special mention of Kathryn, who was on at breakfast time.

Have stayed here multiple times for a relaxing night or 2 away and will continue to do so. Some would say the hotel is dated/tired but such an old building steeped in so much history would lose all it's charm if it were to be modernized/updated. It is a gem of a place where the staff are the real highlight of any visit/stay. They are the friendliest of people who will do their utmost to accommodate any request you may have. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food is excellent. The bar is well laid out and usually has live music at the weekends. There is also a conservatory and outdoor seating area. If you want a bit of craic and a friendly atmosphere then this is the place for you.

My fiancé and I stayed one night at the Kee's Hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival around 11:00 pm, there was lively music and a crowd of people in the bar area having a blast. Interestingly, our room was on the second floor and we could not hear the loud celebrations going on downstairs at all, which was surprising. The room was pleasant, dated as other reviews have said but very clean. Breakfast was hearty with lots of hot foods to choose from as well as fruit, toast, and an assortment of cold cereals. Gluten free friendly. The only downside (albeit minor) to this hotel is the water pressure in the shower. The water just falls out of the shower head, no pressure. It reminds me of those portable camping showers that consist of a large bag of water that you hang from a tree above your head and a tube with a nozzle uses gravity to allow the water to trickle out. I have long hair so showering took about 15% longer, so if you have short hair it won't be a bother. Now I realize that this hotel was established in 1845 so the plumbing is probably not modern. Not a big deal because the rest of the hotel is so charming and pleasant.

Bar food service was woeful. For a great hotel, their bar food service was absolutely woeful and hopeless. My mum and I waited over 45 minutes for chicken goujons and chips while people who arrived after us were served their food. We were given a blasé nonchalant "your food will be with you". There were no apologies for the late food. The food was OK but not worth waiting an hour for. I'll vote with my feet and won't be back

A homely hotel with a great ambiance. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms a bit dated but spotless. Food in the restaurant is fantastic. We had beauty treatments on the Saturday which were great.

We had our wedding reception with Kees hotel on 29th April 2022. To say the hotel went above and beyond would be an understatement. Nothing was a problem and everything was dealt with in a very professional manner. The meal was top class and the ball room decor was beautiful. Special thanks to Vicky, Kathleen and Yvonne for helping us through the past few years as we had to postpone three times due to covid. Even though the hotel was closed during covid Vicky was still there replying to any emails from us. We couldn’t have done it without yous and we are very happy with the day we had. Anyone looking to book their wedding reception in donegal please give Kees hotel a call you won’t be disappointed :) Thanks Leanne & Kieran Quigley

We are just back from this hotel, we stayed Saturday and Sunday night. Hotel rooms were a bit dated but clean and comfortable enough. The noise outside our room window each morning was a bit annoying for my partner as it woke him early on both mornings. I think it was the heating kicking on or something similar. Most staff were pleasant but there was one guy that is in need of a bit of training when it comes to dealing with guests. He was working in the bar on the Saturday and early on Sunday. Not a bit pleasant and was in no hurry to serve customers, he'd rather stack bottles of drink and wash glasses and when he did serve he was on a go slow! One of our party tried to have a bit of banter with him but he was like a dead fish! We were chatting to different ones staying and they all said the same, totally let the place down. If he is employed to work with guests in a customer focused business he should at least have the personality to go with it. Other than that I can't complain about much else. Special mention to the restaurant manager... Mustafa? not sure if I have his name correct but he was an absolute gent and a credit to your staff!
