We stayed over for a friend's wedding and have to say this place is very nice. The room was clean and spacious, had a nice view and they kept making sure we are happy and have everything we need. Breakfast had a large variety very well prepared. Would stay there again if we are ever in the area

Stephan is a wonderful host. He will help you in any way he can. Nothing is too much trouble be it organising Golf/car/family activities Fantastic accommodation with wonderful sea views a great swimming pool to cool off. Always clean and tidy. Breakfast is excellent with a big spread, always fresh produce with eggs cooked as requested and sausages bacon as desired etc. All your needs are catered for. I would stay there without hesitation everytime i visit KZN.

After calling to confirm the booking twice, we arrived late in the evening (after a delayed flight and poor road conditions) to find that the guesthouse did not reserve rooms for us. We were grateful that the owner made an alternative plan and put us up in one of his other guesthouses a few hundred metres further down the road. While the rooms were beautiful and the bed super comfortable, the room was not well cleaned and there was no hot water for an evening shower before bed. There was also no hairdryer in the room, which really should be a basic for any guesthouse these days. Breakfast was below average, with the toast being the most tasty thing on my plate. The guest toilet in the main house, near to the breakfast area, was dirty and smelled of old urine... to top it off, the floor was sticky and clearly dirty. The real icing on the cake was the unnecessary rigmarole of payment. It says on the website that card payments are acceptable - whilst true, there was no machine to do the transaction, so the owner had to log on to some payment app and manually enter all the information on my card. My colleague, who was traveling with me, only had a debit card and the owner said he could not process a payment on a debit card. This meant we had to get in the car, drive to a shopping centre to withdraw cash from an ATM, drive back to the guesthouse and pay in cash. The main house was also very old inside (and dilapidated in some areas on the outside) and cluttered with boxes and appliances which belong in a storage room. So beware... the pictures on the website are very misleading!!

Stephen's home was in a super location, with wonderful views of the ocean. There was some noise from the highway, if you were out on the balcony, however inside, the rooms were pretty quiet. Only slight drawback was the noise from the bar fridge at night...it clunked whenever it began its cycle. That is an easy fix. Rooms were also enormous, clean and had plenty of storage space. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was generous and well done. Stephan was exceedingly helpful...answered all our questions about nearby restaurants, petrol locations etc. Has two lovely dogs to greet visitors, but they were not a nuisance.
