What a crummy dump! The most disgusting “hotel” I have had the displeasure of staying at... The rooms are dirty, smell awful and in total disrepair. There is no working WiFi (in 2020). There is no airconditioning (for an alleged hotel operating on the KZN South Coast in summer, this is quite unbelievable). There is almost no water pressure (forget about taking a shower). Tried calling reception, but gave up after no-one answered. The furniture in the room, including the bed, is so cheap, broken and dirty that it resembles something out of a low-budget horror movie depicting a sleazy motel. The rooms also have some very questionable (and likely lethal) electrical wiring (very poor DIY attempt). I don’t think that you will find a worse place in the back streets of Mogadishu. This place is so scummy, its actually laughable. I would rather sleep underneath a rubbish liner than ever set foot in this evil-smelling place again. They don’t deserve to be in business. Stay away from this festering hole.

It was a girls weekend out from Pmb to Margert. We have booked for a self catering because we wanted to explore the life on the beach. It was a group of 18 lady's so we shared 3 appartments but our breakfasts was prepared in one appartment. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Appartment were very neat and clean.

We had a wonderful time at Kapenta Bay and my friends really enjoyed the place and look forward to be back next summer. The staff was presentable and very professional. Breakfast was filling at a very reasonable price.

Hotel must be re evaluated by South African Tourism. Must do major renovations by fixing room doors into a card system, change furniture into a more comfortable/ modern furniture especially the lounge, dining and kitchen. Housekeeping to be looked at especially with towels, the overall units to avoid infections. Use mostly wooden finishes, like ceiling fans to avoid corrosion and must be cleaned regularly.
