We stayed a few nights in the hotel prior to departing on a cruise. Our requirements were a nice, above average, small hotel close to Lake Zurich and walking distance from the city center. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Service was excellent and the room was perfect for what we needed. Smaller in size but well designed for an older...

The Ambassador l' Opera is an absolutely lovely hotel - nice clean rooms, well stocked bathroom supplies (even washcloths!), very comfortable bed/pillows, great location, free wifi in the room, wonderful cocktail hour on the roof with an incredible view of the city and the greatest staff who were always pleased to offer any type of assistance needed. I can't say...

The Ambassador a l'Opera hotel in Zurich, a member of the Small Luxury Hotels is located immediately next to the Opera House and central to most things you would want to do in Zurich. It's next to the Lake, Old Town, and many restaurants. The hotel restaurant is very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is...

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. Situated just behind the Opera House, it is very convenient to dining, shopping, and a nearby train station that connects to the Main station (Zurich SSB) in just a few minutes at the very next stop. This was very convenient to hopping the train to other cities for day trips. The...

This is a lovely hotel set in the heart of Zurich just by the Opera. We stayed for two nights as a couple and were made very welcome by their staff. Slight hiccup on the first night as I messed around with the electric bed just before bedtime and it must have had a loose wire as they couldn't fix...

Good location. Staff attentive. Clean. Room quirky. Lake view but had to crank head when looking out window to see the lake. Everything in Zurich very expensive. Hot when visiting air conditioning worked well in room.

We booked the hotel due to its proximity to the annual Street Parade Techno event which was neaby at walking distance. As we had a good experience with the Partner hotel Opera accross the street in the previous year we decided to upgrade this year to the Ambassador. The reception was very warm and friendly and we got a welcome...

From the moment I walked into the hotel, I knew I'd made the right decision. Staff on the front desk were delightful, whether it was check in, on passing as you were entering/leaving the hotel, or when you're in need for an adapter because you realise yours doesn't fit. The location is brilliant, and felt very safe. Very close to...

Our room was very small, but typically European. Coffee maker and nice turn down service. We had a view of the back of the opera house, but it was under construction. Bathroom and products were very nice. Front desk staff was always available and had a smile and suggestion. The best part of this hotel was the elegant and delicious...
