I don't think I'm going to say anything that hasn't been said already, but I have to say the Alden Hotel is fantastic. We also got upgraded to a junior suite (how often does that happen?) and they even changed it to a more modern one when my sister didn't like the traditional Swiss chalet-style one they suggested. The suite...

Very well placed for walking to the lake and to restaurants and the main shopping street. A small, almost family-style hotel, where all the staff made you feel valued and special. The service was impeccable. We received a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, which was very spacious and well equipped, with a separate lounge area, small terrace, two flat...

It doesn't get better than this in Zurich, friends! Beautiful hotel, warm, inviting room with a balcony, staff that think ahead, have it all down to a charming science, and wonderful breakfasts. I'm moving here from the WIDDER!

Hotel Alden is a historic boutique hotel. It is not a glamorous property like Park Hyatt. A 5-star hotel is not a 5-star hotel. You have to enjoy this style of hotel. If you prefer the huge glamourous foyer or ultra-modern rooms to the personal experience you get with a small hotel you should probably look elsewhere. That said, we...

My husband and me chose this small boutique hotel (22 rooms) for the overnight stay at New Year’s Eve and were very satisfied with the offered. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in the so-called financial district of Zuerich near the lake and about a 10 minutes walk from the Bahnhofstrasse. It is contemporarily furnished with scattered...

This is an expensive hotel and look good on the pictures. The only good thing about this hotel is that all rooms are very big. We had a look at a few because we couldn't believe what we saw entering the one we booked. The fitting is badly done and random furniture and a few antiques has been thrown in...

Stayed here whilst my partner was on business, and it was a fabulous hotel. The rooms appear to be mostly suites and are very spacious indeed. They also have nice touches like free soft drinks in the minibar, which as anyone knows can add up to a small fortune just to quench one's thirst. The staff were very helpful and...

My partner treated us to a fabulous weekend away in this wonderful dream-like castle hotel ;).The staff at all times could not have been nicer or friendlier. They were always willing to assist and give recommendations on where to eat in Zurich. The suite we stayed in was very comfortable, and we melted into the beds. The separate WC, shower and bath...

In this hotel I feel better than at home. The rooms are really big, elegant and charming! The service is exquisite and the breakfast was delicious. I was actually in Zürich for business and I can´t wait to go back again to stay at the Alden hotel!
