A pleasant hotel in a great location with views over the lake - especially on a warm spring evening with a beautiful sunset. The staff are friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast good and fresh, if not particularly memorable. Not cheap at €270 per night but nowhere decent in this area is much less!

Stayed at the Hotel Lowen while attending business meetings. The staff were pleasant enough. A standard room is quite small but suitable enough. Very tight washroom with a small shower that is tough to get in and out. You need to hold the shower head as it does not stay on the slider. You can hear others in the next rooms....

The hotel is situated next to the lake and the entrance of old town. So great views and nice strolls. The rooms and decor are dated, but the rooms are spacious and clean. There is a Nespresso machine (obviously) in every room. The restaurant has had a recent update and looks fresher and more modern the the rest of the...

Stylish rooms and very comfortable with great coffee machines. Restaurant is excellent for dinner and for breakfast. My only complaint is the bathroom; rubbish hairdryer, mirror too high for a lady, shower not fixed to the wall so you have to hold it - which I find very inconvenient.

This hotel's location is absolutely the best you can have in Zug. Its rooms don't quite live up to that standard but more than made up for by its restaurant standard. NOT CHEAP but excellent standard of food. Not sure where you park but great location for a relaxing night or 2.

My husband stayed here for 10 days last month while on business in the area. I joined for the last 5 days. Zug is a delightful town on a beautiful lake minutes from Zurich and the Lowen am See is right on the lake in the heart of the gorgeous old town. Nice rooms, terrific staff and fantastic restaurant on...

The service at the reception was very nice and helpful. Rooms are ok, nothing extraordinary but clean and vell equiped. Location is very special, few steps from the lake. Dinner in the restaurant downstairs was delicious, good choice of meals and wine

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Every time the staff at the reception have been pleasant and welcoming. The location by the lake and in the old town is beautiful and the hotel rooms have also a view to the beautiful historical courtyard and the lake. The breakfast doesn't give you any amazing surprises but fulfills any normal...

I spent just one night, and arrived rather late. When I stepped out of the taxi, people were having dinner in the hotel's own (and widely known for superb local food) Brasserie Löwen, as well as all the neighbouring restaurants. Some live jazz, good food in a warm night ... I need to get back there. The hotel was exceptionally...
