Overall, I enjoyed the stay in this hotel. It is in a quiet area, yet close to both the train station and a metro stop. A free metro card was included in the hotel price, and that was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel was very clean and quite cozy, the staff was very polite, and the breakfast was very...

We were lucky enough to be given probably the best room in the hotel - top floor with private balcony and a bit of a view of Lake Geneva. The bathroom was also excellent - the first one we stayed in this trip to have both a shower AND bathtub. Otherwise it's a fairly standard 3-star hotel. Clean and comfortable...

Hotel Elite has very convenient location, near the train station. The rooms are nice and clean, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, quite a good price perfomance ratio.

Granted, Lausanne is an expensive town, and I opted for one of the "economy singles" offered by this hotel. But still, at 130 francs per night, the compact, non-airconditioned, top-floor room (with hotel supplies stored in the hallway) did not represent very good value. Warm temperatures made it impossible to sleep with closed window, and noise from revelers on nearby...

I stayed one night at the Hotel Elite. I needed somewhere near the station and this is about as close as you can get - three minutes walk, although involving a short but steep uphill section. The hotel is a typical traditional Swiss hotel - small, old-fashioned, but well-maintained and kept in immaculate condition. My room was a reasonable size...

Want to stay five minutes walking distance from the city centre and the railway station? Then look no further. The "Elite" hotel offers the individual traveller a perfect night's rest, it is very small (a former private villa by the looks of it), no frills, unassuming, very affordable, but spotlessly clean, well managed and maintained, its multinational staff polite and...

Overall, we were happy with our stay at Hotel Elite, especially considering how little your money can buy in Lausanne. However, there is a great deal of inconsistency among rooms and you just don't know what you'll get until you arrive. Pros - Location, location, location, staff & service, breakfast, value for Lausanne Cons - All bedrooms are outdated, as...

Great location: one very uphill block from train station, but walkable with wheeled luggage..and 2 or 3 pauses to catch your breath. Has lift. Small, well-run, quiet and comfortable hotel on lovely private street. Central location for waterfront as well as uphill to the city. Clean and friendly...pleasant breakfast room with charming and helpful Swiss grandma. But at 214 CHF...

Okay, the price seems high, but that's true of all the hotels in Lausanne. The Hotel Elite is competitively priced, and it has a great location just a few short (but uphill) blocks from the main part of town. It's also conveniently located between two metro stops. Our room was pleasant, and the breakfast was good (but not outstanding). The...

We again stayed at the Elite on our way back from Locarno. The room was excellent.. . a nice size with a more than adequate balcony, There was a safe, a mini bar, t.v telephone and radio and a comforable arm-chair. The bed was very comforable too. The batth-room was amazing. It looked like new with a bath and a...
