Excellent attendant Jean Baptiste helped me during health problems. I had serious health problems and needed contact with European Assistance for hospital, and Mr. Jean Baptiste was very kind and undestanding.

This hotel is very close to the station and an easy walk to town centre. Rooms are very small and have a fan. There is an elevator. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a bit dated but clean and fine for a brief stay if you don't mind being cramped. We had no noise problems from trains but...

Stayed for one night in Apr on a visit with family in Lausanne. The hotel is next to the main train station. That means certain pros and cons. Pros are short walk from station, old areas of the city within walkable distance though a steep climb to the Lausanne cathedral is required, metro stops within walking distance, decent places to...

I had read reviews here that the rooms are noisy due to the rail track. After I booked on a website, I called the hotel to specify that I need a room that was not adjoining the rail track because good sleep is very important for me. I said to the receptionist that I would have no option but to...

My review is based on the fact that you are looking for a hotel close to railway station. If so, then this hotel is perfect location and economical given the prices in Switzerland for a tourist. The hotel also has good manager/reception who are very responsive on queries and requests related to your bookings. We didn't had breakfast in the...

We stayed overnight at Alagare as our train came in past 11pm from Venice and we didn't want to disturb our cousin (as we were to stay the rest of the time at her place). The hotel is right at the station. However you need to know which exit is the closest exit to the hotel. People in Switzerland are...

Dear Madam, Sir, Thank you for having taken the time to rate our hotel on Internet. We mostly appreciate it. Though Hotel AlaGare is located right next to Lausanne train station, most of its rooms look onto a pedestrian street or a yard. I suggest you specify this choice for your next reservation or contact me directly so that the...

We had a room for 3, the 3rd bed is just sth. like a lounge chair, but ok. Bathroom and toilet are separate, but...

I was pretty skeptic coming to this place just because I normally wouldn't go for something that is rated under 8 on Booking. However, I was pleasantly surprised. We were given a superior room (by chance?) on the first floor which had a comfy and huge king-size bed, and a separate bath and toilet, including a little sitting area and...
