Amazing! Amazing and extremely helpful staff; amazing breakfast; amazing views; amazing room; amazing spa areas - hot tub, sauna and steam room. Excellence abounds here. We had a superb stay. Room with a view of the Matterhorn is great! Package deal with dinner, picnic and aperitif — the Bellerive takes care of these for you. Fabulous place.

Hotel's Favourite
We had a marvelous stay at this quaint, beautiful boutique hotel. Mario, Katja and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They were most friendly and were extremely helpful in arranging skiing opportunities, giving restaurant advice, and making our stay more than comfortable. We enjoyed the spa, fireplace, and conversations at the bar. They helped us learn about both the community and the culture. Their breakfast buffet was amazing and delicious. This hotel has so many added touches that cater to the needs of guests, and the owners themselves work hard to make each day a successful one. I would return here in a minute and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Zermatt! The view of the Matterhorn is also stunning from this location. Undeniably a highlight of our trip to Switzerland!!!

Traveled with my teenage daughter. Great hotel with friendly staff. They are happy to pick up and drop off at the train station in a little electric car. Helps when you are nervous and new to a city. David at the front desk was happy to make suggestions about activities and places to eat. Room was fantastic with no complaints. Breakfast had varieties of food choices and good service.

My family spent four fabulous nights in a Junior Suite at Hotel Bellerive in Zermatt this August. Wow! Officially this place is somehow only a 3-star hotel... don't let it fool you because you get a 4-star room and 5-star service here. I booked here because of the outstanding reviews on TA and they were right on. I highly recommend it! Katja and the others were some of the most helpful hosts I've ever seen. Constantly going out of their way (in at least 4 languages) to take care of tour advice, travel arrangements, baggage, made-to-order breakfasts, cocktails in the evening, whatever! We felt like a welcomed guest in their home. They never seemed rushed or put out with all of my questions and requests! Our room of 50 sq meters was very comfortable for our family of 4, although with a tub in the middle of the room it would have been better for a romantic getaway. Still, no problem for us since the space was so big. Everything was very clean and well designed. Booking direct gave us free mini-bar items each day (and also free transfers to and from the train station). We knew in advance the room we booked wouldn't have a view of the Matterhorn so inquire ahead of time if that is important to you. Still, I enjoyed some nice time on our balconies watching the other mountains. Common spaces were comfortable, especially with the fireplace in the evenings and games for the kids. The breakfast was truly outstanding and was enough to keep us going on our hikes each day. The location is right in the middle of the walkable village and I found it perfect. It's about half-way between both of the major lifts and close to the main shopping street without being in the crowds.
