Our group stopped here for one night while on a Cosmos Grand Tour of Switzerland. The chalet-style hotel is located a distance from the center of town. During our ride from the train station in an electric car, many of us were ready to complain about being in such a remote area--that is, until we stepped out and looked up....

We were a family of 5 adults and are regular skiers around France and Switzerland. The following is our view of the Pros and cons of Hotel Hemizeus Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff-they even printed off some documents for me and offered to scan them-as a result of an urgent business matter-all done with smiling helpful faces-the benefit of a...

We stayed at hotel Hemizeus for a winter weekend and just absolutely loved the place. This is a smaller and genuine family hotel with friendly staff. There was in particular one lady in the reception who was very nice helping us out with everything we needed to know to be more efficient and fully enjoy our stay and skiing. The...

The hotel is 3star and the rooms reflect that. But the location is wonderful, on the edge of Zermatt with a terrific view of the mountains and you can see the train coming through the trees up above. There had not been snow for 7 weeks so we could not ski in and out, but they took us to the...

Just had a wonderful weekend at Hotel Hemizeus. The hotel is on the edge of town, heading up the valley, so not central but with a stunning view of the Matterhorn. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with an amazing view. Service in the hotel was excellent and had a real family feel to it for...

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Hotel Hemizeus. It was our first time skiing in Zermatt and the Palazzo family were very welcoming. The room was a good size, clean and with everything you need. The spa was fantastic after a day on the slopes and the meals were delicious. The hotel is a bit out of...

There is no denying the fact that Hemizeus is way out of town and and not that accessible. The reception closes at 21.30 and there is little effort to communicate or help guests when it is open. To get to the Matterhorn Express we were told by reception it was very easy to ski out. It was barely skiable and...

Location is not for couples with children or old people - 10 minutes to go downhill to Furi ski lift (20 minutes to the train station) but back to the hotel - 15 minutes to go uphill from the Furi ski lift with equipment! Note - there is no public snowboard depot and InterSport depot nearby was always full. Taxi...

First of all, the location of this place is a pain. To walk to the village you need to climb a steep and intense hill. It's a good ten minute walk from the village but the hill really kills you when walking up with your ski equipment. The rooms are rather run down and old, which wasn't unexpected, but they...

This is a lovely place to stay in Zermatt. I stayed 3 nights in a pleasant terrace room not far from reception & lounge area, with wonderful views of the Matterhorn from my bed! Good size modern room with small but clean bathroom, big basin and mirror just outside bathroom. Some rooms have small kitchens in them as well. The...
