As to the hotel being short staffed this was not something I noted or commented on. It is a family run hotel like many in Switzerland. It is not short staffed but it does have an intimate feel to it. I prefer this kind of hotel to the impersonal service of a staff without any real interest in the guests or the hotel itself . I found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. They treat you like part of a family of guests.
