Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The only things that are very good about the campsite are the pitch, which is large and in the shade, and the store. The most annoying thing is the noise from the highway 100m from the campsite, the planes keep flying and the helicopters fly very low and very slowly. The person with a disability called us because he couldn't open the bathroom door with a small key that we received from reception. Also we had to help her push to get in as there is a big doorway, and inside is small, luckily she can stand up and sit on a stool. Consider whether a person has a disability and cannot stand up.

This is a really lovely site with lots of amenities and perfect for kids. The staff are really nice and very accommodating to any requests. The problem was a music festival in the next field. The very loud music went on until 2.30 am and was followed by some more ' singing' as the revellers returned home through the campsite. We had intended to stay 4 nights but left after one as the noise was too much to take.

We visited this campsite at the end of August and experienced campers we expected the pitches to look a bit worn and it does show that the site has been busy. The facilities blocks were in need of decoration and although not dirty they could have been a lot cleaner, there were cobwebs in the windows and the floors only appear to be cleaned once a day. The washing up area had no plugs or if there were plugs they did not work. Water was always hot and the toilets were OK. The restaurant Le Bonheur was busy on the Saturday night, we booked a table for 8pm and we're still waiting starters a 8.50' when I queried this I was told they were very busy and short staffed and the food would come, which it eventually did well after 9.

Campsite crossed by a high voltage line, bordered by the motorway and the cantonal road. Nearby airport. We park campers like cattle. I'd rather stay home.
A real scandal, when all the published images show no power lines and no one to tell you that army planes take off in the morning from 8:00 am

Very familiar, uncomplicated campsite with beautiful digger lake.
We stayed 3 nights in a tipi tent. Great value for money!
Facility was very clean.
The only drawback: Sometimes a little loud ambient noise.
We liked it very much and we like to come back.

We expected to have a place with a view on the mountains or the lake, however we ended up on a space with a pretty hard ground (which made it hard to build up our tents) , next to the parking lot. It was noisy and the staff was really unfriendly and uncooperative saying that we shouldnt complain about that. We,as a group, did not feel welcome at all! Moreso, the lake was dirty and you surely need to shower after it.
Sanitary is okay, but not that clean.
I wouldnt recommend it!

Disappointed with this campsite. Extremely noisy between constant helicopters and fighter jets flying overhead, music booming until 2am waking up myself and my kids, some gunshots or explosives going off all day long, motorway nearby and we had Spanish workers working on the huge electricity pylons beside our pitch shouting at each other from the early hours of the morning all day long.
Lake is manky, you defo have to wash after it.
No kids club that we found.
I had huge issues with using the washing machines and asked other people for help and they couldn’t figure them out either.
Got my dates mixed up and thought we were checking out the following day. Reception staff were not too friendly about it when we found out and gave me til 1pm latest to be out despite me offering to pay more for my error.
Very little information in English , it’s all in French or German. Obviously not too many English speaking visitors.
Super market on site very small and pricey so recommend hitting Lidl or Aldi only few mins away.
Toilets etc were fine but showers were tiny.
Big plus was they had a hair dryer which is handy if washing kids late at night!
And Wi-Fi included on up to 3 devices which js great.
Our fellow campers around us were all lovely. Kept to themselves but chatted away at times.

This campsite is advertised as being very quiet at night. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In the summer, there are often festivals very nearby, with extremely loud music until past 2 am, and festival visitiors returning noisily until at least 3 am. If there’s no festival, there are plenty of other noise factors. The highway passes right by the campsite, so there’s traffic noise 24/7. There’s a military airport nearby, with fighter jets flying in & out and helicopters landing and taking off (as late as 2 am). In the morning, we were always awoken by incessant shooting that continued all day as military practices apparently take place nearby.
Not my idea of a peaceful camping trip.
The management was very unconcerned about all of this. They didn’t inform us that there was a festival taking place during our visit, neither during the booking process nor during our stay. Any infos we gathered came from other helpful campers. They generally seem to have a very hands-off approach to running the place, which is a pitty. Other campers informed us that the management changed 4 years ago, and that it used to be run much more professionally.
There are so many beautiful campgrounds in the area...we definitely won’t return to this one.

Do not stay here is you are expecting a 4* campsite. Reality is more 2*

1. Checkin staff not the friendliest and seem long overdue for some customer service training.
2. Can be very noisy, check if there is a festival on across the other side of the lake before you book otherwise you won’t be sleeping until 2am.
3. Bizarre- but also noise from air force jets, helicopters (early morning) and the local firing range! Non of this communicated in any of the site advertising.
4. Also advise not to go swimming in either of the lakes by reception due to a toxic blue algae- that would make you sick if you swim and unfortunately swallow any Water. Apparently this advice had been going on for over a month, kids were very disappointed not to go paddle boarding! Management tried to retract that this was the advice we were given.
5. Wi-Fi connection and mobile connection almost non existent at far end of the campsite at the small lake end. I was expecting to use internet on my 5g enabled iPhone on sunrise network - internet on 4 & 5g was a mere 1mb to total network drop off. WiFi barely usable also with constant network loss and painfully slow speeds.
6. Add to that a big part of the campsite is in the shadows of giant electricity pylons, the hum of cracking electricity might make some nervous!

Overall a bit run down and nowhere close to any of the other tcs campsites we have stayed at - and generally a bit of an odd campsite. Also note that the nearby aliia bay surf camp do not offer any tcd discounts.

For a better experience head up to the campsite at Crans Montana - lake swimming is toxic free and facilities and activities much better.

Dear Colm Roche, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay at our campsite. We apologise for falling short of your expectations and for the inconveniences you encountered during your visit. Your feedback certainly highlights areas where we need improvement, and we will consider all moving forward. In particular, we do understand that noise disruptions can be frustrating, and although out of our control, we'll work on better communication of this to our guests where possible. Likewise, we apologise for any disappointment caused by the algae in the lake. We hope that despite the issues you were still able to enjoy some elements of our campsite, such as an outdoor swimming pool, games room, common room, and nearby bus stop, helping you to be able to explore the beautiful local area. Nonetheless, thank you again for sharing your insights with us. We hope that you'll consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with a great camping experience soon. Kind regards, Team TCS Camping Sion

the tcs camping is very clean and well maintained. the lighting is sufficient, not a lamp on every corner and therefore not over-lit, which we found very pleasant.
the restaurant is OK, but in the camping restaurant opposite the menu is huge and the service is super friendly.
the price for camping at the tcs is high compared to camping at sedunum.
there is a lot going on at sedunum, not loud, but sociable, simple and pleasant.
the proximity to the sports center is very close at both, so next time, if there is space for campers, we would prefer the sedunum, even if the sanitary facilities at the tcs are better.
