Staff very professional and helpful. Always friendly and knowledgeable. Was there for 5 days and would stay here again. In the centre of town so very convenient. Calm and warm environment. Room was compact but had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable.
Nice and stylish hotel in the city center. Cozy rooms, very kind staff - we felt very very welcomed. My special thanks goes to Patrizio for his flexibility and for the vegan breakfast cake we baked just for me. Thank you so much! If you are vegan - like me - you'll have some good options for breakfast like baked beans, broccoli with tomatoes or spinach, fresh fruits and some cereals. There even was homemade kombucha for breakfast - GREAT! The restaurant also provides some delicious plant based dinner options. The vegan choice is still small, but I really appreciate the hotel staff made it possible. If you have any special requests, feel free to ask. Everyone is very kind and sooo helpful. I reccommend Luganodante to everyone!
This hotel is almost perfect. The best way is to arrive to Lugano by train. From the station take the tramway or a 5 minute walk to reach the hotel. Luganodante is very well situated in the pedestrian part of Lugano. The staff is really helpful and smily. The rooms are clean and modern, they have a nice size, with complimentary tea and coffee. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is a continental style buffet with plenty of choices hot and cold dishes. I recommend this hotel for your Lugano visit.
I am used to travel a lot in a year, for both leisure and business reasons, but it's very rare for me to leave a review because usually there's no story to tell more than a thumbs up or a negative review. This is not the case. I should admit my booking was planned just a few days before my visit and my choice was mainly driven by location/walk distance from pinned places having my 5y-old daughter with me. To give a bit a context, these were busy days because of Easter break 2021, surely not the easiest, the hotel was fully booked and also just right into COVID rules/restrictions. - Smiles and Passion As soon as you walk in, it's like you never left. I swear I've crashed into more than 200 smiles by team members during my stay. Not fake smiles. People here like to approach with guests, to hear them, to find a solution and to be of help at anytime. Or just to say "Hi!". This is noticeable immediately and it never comes boring or unpleasent, but instead makes you feel welcome and at ease. Sure, hospitality is made of these and sometimes also given as rules to comply with. But you can easily spot when this is the case, no one is annoyed of being bothered/asked or and they just love (that's exactly the case) to get in touch and listen! Behind those smiles, there's clearly passion for their job and willing to always go a step further and beyond, to improve and get always better. - Team Working No matter where you are: reception, bar, lounge, restaurant.. you always feel the engagement and the enpowerment the team has build. They work together, they help each other, they are also at ease enough to laugh with each other as they do not feel any pressure but they really enjoy their job enterily. I am natively Italian so was lucky enough to understand their chit-chat and it's just impressive to see how they are happy to work together. They always rely on each other when someone else is more knowledgeable on a specific topic, no matter if talking about food/drinks/room facilities or just a random question. They know what to do, who to ask and they go straight for the best. That's just amazing. - Food, Drinks I could keep going forever on this topic, I will just give some highlights: homemade spirits using fresh products and a cocktail menu you will struggle to pick your own drink from. Ask Massimo and Alessio if you need help. An impressive research of ingredients and recipes for their food menu, as always with a attentive service. The wine list is also very inclusive, with a good variety of Italian grapes and labels (which are surely a preference here over French ones) and they also have their own wine from a winery in Ticino. I highly recommend to ask more details about, the Merlot is one of the best I ever tried among the swiss ones. - Design The hotel has been recently renovated (read rethinked from scratch) with a new brand identity and design/style/rooms that you will love just to walk by and look around. The lobby/bistro/bar are impressive in every detail, but speachless is their unique sky illusion upstairs for lounge/creativebox! Kids just love every corner and feel always welcome and engaged! - COVID Huge efforts to comply with all the social distancing/rules, 2 restaurants for breakfast/lunch/dinner and 3 timeslots each to accomodate all guests. Big challenge considering the high demand from their own guests, these days you can sit at a restaurant table only in your own hotel because of restrictions in place in CH. For them it was like lifting a feather, it work just perfectly. Ask Nunzio to understand how they made it! A positive feedback for the whole team, whom I would like to sincerely thank for being superlative! But I'd like to mention Massimo, Alessio, Jessica, Cristina, Alessandra, Simona, Roberta, Valentina, Nunzio.. I was able to read your nametag on my last day so it means we engaged in some way, even if I was mainly outside for the whole day. This says a lot! Keep up the good work and see you next time!…
The perfect place to be in Lugano. The staff is very friendly and customer oriented. The food is excellent. Fresh quality and mastered cooking. The breakfast is one of the best I had in Switzerland. I strongly recommend this hotel.
