Club Med Saint Moritz garners appreciation for its cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere, with guests frequently lauding the well-kept rooms and common spaces. The hotel is considered a good value by many visitors, who enjoy the diverse activities and commendable service, despite occasional remarks about the need for modernization and reports of service hiccups.
While the amenities and scenic views are popular, some travelers point out the dated decor and a shortage of power sockets in rooms.

Detailed Reviews
Great location, amazing skiing possibilities, kind GO's. Thanks to ClubMed we managed to forget about the Covid craziness and had a nice holiday week.
However I think that the skiing bit could be improved with offering longer ski days. Some people would be happy to have a sandwich in their pocket and ski until 16h30 with the ski school as we normally do during ski holidays with the club.
Another point is the restaurant, it's self service, people keep serving with the same fork/spoon without disinfecting their hands. The control should be stricter, we had experienced much better "fight against Covid" policy during our summer holidays with the Club.

Dear Dia Thank you for writing a review on trip advisor. You opinion is very important for us. We are happy to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay in our resort. We will increase the control for hand hygiene in the restaurant entrance following your suggestion. The decision to leave the buffet was taken in accordance with our scientific advisors who prefer to reduce waiting lines by allowing self-service. We change the service tools every 15 minutes and are sure that together with the reduced crowd in lines and increased hand hygiene the situation will further improve. Unfortunately we cannot provide lunch packs for clients due to the hygiene restrictions. We know that the current organization is different to normal and hope that over tile we can go back to more convenient organization; We hope to welcome you again in Roi Soleil or elsewhere in Club Med! Best regards Patrick Franck Oberaspach

The hotel is very old but quite neat and clean. The staff are very friendly. Rooms were very clean but the passages smelled very musty and like cigarette smoke. I’m assuming the guests smoke in the rooms even though it isn’t allowed. Checking in wasn’t too bad considering the huge crowd checking in at the same time. Crappy hairdryer in the room, so bring your own. No shower cap provided so bring your own. Also no slippers and gowns provided in rooms which I found very weird. Instant hot water in the shower. The snowboarding instructors were super talented, friendly and patient - Alexander & Frederik. You get the same instructor for your whole stay at the resort. They also take you up to the mountain and show you how the ski / chair lifts work. The hotel arranges the busses that take you to the cable cars to get up to the mountain. To wash your laundry in the hotel was extremely expensive. I was a bit surprised that we were chased out of the restaurant at lunch. After we had eaten we stayed and chatted but were told to leave as lunch was now over. I always felt very rushed when at the restaurants. The room heaters were switched off during the day so the rooms could get slightly chilly. Very close to the lake and main town - We walked there and back exploring the beautiful town.

Dear Belinda Thank you for writing a review on trip advisor. You opinion is very important for us. We are sorry your stay and our services were not completely up to your expectations. The resort is as mentioned old and we are working on a renovation project. This project will also cover bathroom facilities such as the hairdryers. The final planning, validation and construction permit process will take around 2 more years. Concerning the mountain restaurant I acknowledge that the currents system is a compromise between organizational needs and comfort. The meal time is restricted for every rotation to 35 minutes in order to allow all guest to have lunch on the mountain. We will have a look how we can better balance out between all guests for the future. Concerning the heating the system is automatically adapting the inside temperature in accordance with the outside temperature. In case of big gaps between daytime outside temperature and nighttime outside temperature the system might react too slow which can lead to the indoor temperature adapting too slow. Unfortunately this is a systematic issue and cannot be changed short term. Therefore we provide on demand extra heaters over our front desk. We are sorry that you had to suffer from this issue during your stay. We do thank you again for taking the time to write a review and promise to work on the issues mentioned. Best regards Patrick Franck Oberaspach

We’ve just arrived home from a lovely week at the St Moritz Club Med resort.
The hotel was very big and we had a room for 3 people - the room was quite dated but clean, comfortable and very spacious.
The restaurant food was very good, with lots of different choices daily.
The hotel was a short flat walk to the nearest cable car lift - there is a bus available, however we didn’t use this service. There is a fantastic ski shop (not part of the hotel) at the bottom of the cable car where you can leave your ski’s and boots for a small charge (this saves the daily walk in your ski boots!!!).
The skiing is AMAZING! The slopes are so well prepared and there is a good range for all abilities.
Our only negative is that some staff (reception/ bar/ restaurant) can seem a little rude if you ask for something. This is a busy hotel and as long as you’re prepared to wait to be served or while the receptionist may be on the phone, then you’ll be fine!
Now the reason for my review - the Club Med Mini Club...
WOW!!!!! I don’t often feel comfortable leaving my daughter, but William, Melania and the rest of the staff were unbelievable! From 8.30am, they work tirelessly to ensure all of the children’s needs are catered for. They help them get dressed and ready for ski lessons, ensure they have a good lunch and entertain them daily. The standard of the entertainment in the evening was fantastic and their level of care was amazing. They knew all of the children’s names on the first day and really made each child feel special. The mini club staff really were fantastic!!
If you’re looking for an amazing ski resort with superb child care facilities, this is the hotel for you!! I would return here and would recommend to friends!

Dear guest Thank you for writing a review on trip advisor. You opinion is very important for us. We are happy to hear that you had a pleasant stay. We will pass on the compliments to the Mini Club Med team-thanks in their name. The children’s club is at the heart of our product and it is reassuring to read that the team and the services are doing a good job. On the other hand we are sorry to hear that our hotel staff was not always perceived as helpful and friendly as they should be. We will reinforce staff training on order to reach a better level of service in the future. We hope to welcome you again in Club Med Roi Soleil in the future! Best regards Patrick Franck Oberaspach

Not Up to usual club med standard. We found the food to be very disappointing, nowhere near as good as other Clubmed resorts however gala night was very good as was breakfast.
It’s a long transfer from Zürich airport, about three hours, but is in a comfortable coach and is a pretty journey.
The bedrooms are large with lots of storage space as is the bathroom which has an excellent shower.
The hotel location isn’t perfect as there is no ski in ski out, each day involves a lengthy walk in ski gear or catching a bus. Disappointed that there is no breakfast room service available at this Clubmed.
The resort is very pretty with lots to see and do, all within easy walking distance, if only the food was as good as all the other ski club meds I would return.

Dear Tracy Thank you for writing a review on trip advisor. You opinion is very important for us. We are sorry to hear that your stay and our services were not up to your expectations. It is certainly true that our food offer is lighter than in our newer ski resorts in the Alps. We are currently looking into ways to close this gap. As the resort is going to be renovated in the next 2 years the restaurant and buffet section will also be rethought. This will certainly help us to improve. During the second phase of the renovation also deluxe rooms will be added to the resort. These rooms will then include added offers such as room service. As for the walkway to the Corviglia ski area, I have to admit there are no changes possible. We thank you for taking the time to write this review and hope to welcome you again in one of our resorts. Bets regards Patrick Franck Oberaspach

We had an excellent week skiing in St Moritz at the Roi Soleil. Accommodation, food and drink good value, with the added bonus of a restaurant up the mountain at the Corviglia ski area. Apparently there was also one at the Corvatch ski area, but Covid knocked it on the head. Being all inclusive, there was no need to worry about food and drink bills.
We normally go for ski out/ski in and it was a short walk to the nearest bus stop, but we soon got the hang of the ski buses and skied every run we could in each area - blue skies and immaculate pistes! We didn't do the free ski lessons as we are all experienced, advanced skiers and had a professional ski instructor in our group of seven, but speaking to others, they all enjoyed the lessons and were also picked up from the hotel door and taken to the slopes. A good option to avoid having to catch a bus.
We are likely to consider going back the the Roi Soleil, we enjoyed it that much.

First of all we had a very good welcome even though we arrived quite late.
The rooms are well equipped and suites all the need of a modern traveller. Just be careful with the plug adapters you take, because they are not the same as most European cities.
The facilities of the hotel are amazing.
Sauna, Steam, Swimming pool. Operated mainly by Joe who was an amazing individual who really cares about he does. He’s always involved in most of the hotel events and shows enthusiasm for he does. The steam and sauna are always supplied with fresh water that is usually mixed by Joe on a daily basis and this is very refreshing and a real treat.
The restaurant supplies food from all over the place and is very fresh and appealing. The restaurant staff work very hard to keep everything moving well. The bar also supply a relentless supply of beer and spirits.
I wish I was 20 years younger to enjoy this hotel’s facilities more.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and the staff working there.
Book as soon as you can

We have never stayed in a hotel for a ski trip, preferring small groups in catered chalets, so we were unsure just what to expect. Clearly, Club Med is 'a thing' and many people we spoke to were regulars. It's an all in package and was really good value for what we paid. Lots of positives. Excellent airport transfer. Room was clean and comfortable with daily maid service. Ski instruction was included as was the ski pass and transport to lifts was provided depending on the destination. The snow was well groomed and the skiing good despite there being no fresh fall for weeks. All meals, including lunch, are included and there is a no pay bar. There is a wide ranging food offer and extensive service hours.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, I imagine. It's a sort of upmarket Butlins for the European middle classes. The staff work very hard to generate a buzz with lots of entertainment and they are genuinely enthusiastic. They work long hours and were always jolly and helpful, especially Eva, whose Mary Poppins turn was really pretty good!
This really was a very easy holiday. We had a lovely ski group with whom we socialised and there was plenty of fun.
There were some downsides. We were served the worst red wine I have ever encountered on a ski holiday and we've done some budget trips. Everyone we spoke to was of a similar view as was one of the barmen who described it as p**s. We bought a bottle from the hotel's wine list, but that was poor value. The food offer is too extensive and haphazard with the result that too much of it is of low value. Much more could be achieved for the same cost, though I accept that feeding such a large number of guests is a challenge. Other Club Med regulars commented that this was the poorest one they had been to.
If the price is right, one can have a perfectly good holiday at this Club Med, but it would not justify a premium price. As it was, we had a great time.

Booked with our children and grandchildren. Met at airport by representative and beautiful bus ride from Zurich to resort in St Moritz thru the Alps. Everyone was sent immediately into 'show room' greeted with a drink then explained how Club Med worked and given an envelop with room keys and ski passes. Very efficient. Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. We were always able to get a large table together. Even lots of choices for our vegetarian granddaughter. Restaurant on mountain a smaller buffet but still with several choices. Wine available included at all meals. Fondue you had to book ahead and they accommodated our group of 11. You still had buffet choices as well. Resort is 'older' but ski chalet feel. Lots of hooks in rooms, good for ski clothes. Towels could be changed daily as well as bed made, cleaning. We liked that the window opened to let in fresh air. Sonia at the omelet station was excellent. Our waiter, Salvatore was efficient and friendly in the dining room and on the mountain. Two bartenders, Oscar and Christiano stood out. They made delicious nonalcoholic drinks too. Lots of music and fun activities at night and Apres Ski, with appetizer as well as appetizer with before dinner drinks. Warning for us older folks the night walk a little slippery in dark and uphill. The coffee machines could be on earlier in the morning especially the first few days for those of us coming from North America with the time change. Loved all the different coffee choices available. Very helpful staff at front desk. Efficient check out. Again beautiful views on drive back. Wonderful vacation.

First time in St. Moritz and will definitely not be the last. I am so pleased with my experience at the Club Med resort - from the all-inclusive amenities, to the food (not forgetting the abundance of fresh lobster served one day), the proximity to the beautiful Swiss Alps ski resorts and the Club Med customer service experience. We were well taken care of, and special thank you to Edoardo and Andrea for their hospitality! Edoardo was so fun to have around to make us feel at home away from home, and Andrea was very courteous and made sure everything was in line. The value (priceless) of our stay truly exceeded the costs. Thank you thank you!

Multiple small niggles with this resort compared to other Club Med ski resorts. Lovely situation a few minutes walk from the frozen lake but you have to walk to and from the headiest lift, 10 minutes. No one told us there was a shuttle in the late afternoons back to club Med. It would have been nice to have a shuttle going to the lifts and the town centre of St Moritz ( though it was a a wonderful walk across the lake )
Food was rather poor in variety and quality compared to other club Med holidays and on their mountain restaurants, we only had 1/2 hour to eat before we were asked to leave to make ready for the next sitting. Luckily the weather was sunny as we had to wait outside for the other 1/2 hour with not enough seats for most people.
Family room was lovely as was the nighttime forest walk .
The bar queuing system was a great improvement on the old crowded system.
No evening shows bar one or two at the end of the week which was a shame and the quality wasn’t as good as previous years ( but maybe it’s difficult now due to covid?)

Hello Gardenersclub, Thanks you for choosing Club Med Roi Soleil again for your holidays and for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very sorry that, reading your comment, your stay wasn't at the level of your expectation. We indeed hava a shuttle bus to go to Signal Bahn lift for corviglia which is the afternoon for the return and on the saturday the morning and the afternoon. The times are in the reception and in the information booklet available at the reception and given at the arrival. All the time table and information are also writen on the channel 1 of the TV in the room for you to have all the good informations. Unfortunatly it never existed here a shuttle bus to go to the town. The lake is indeed at 10min maximum of walk and the city have bus that are coming almost in front of our resort every 10min. Regarding the restaurant and the event, all our team is doing there best to respect the Club Med Prestation. We are very sorry about your disapointment and we will not miss to give your feedback to the different teams concerned. We hope that, on despite your perfectible experience, we will have the chance to welcome you again in one of our Club Med Resort, Sincerly, Club Med team
