We were on a group tour. There are some very nice things about this hotel. The staff is very pleasant. The breakfast is very good. The room is decorated in a cute alpine motif, and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom is arranged very nicely with great lighting, good water pressure and ample storage space for toiletries. And, they have the nicest blow dryer of any hotel I have ever stayed in! I’m actually going to try to find the model and order one for myself! They also have several English channels on the TV. This hotel sits on a triangle intersection with heavy traffic. It was quite warm during our stay and since there isn’t any air conditioning, we needed to open the window. Our room number was 212. This room is right above the busy intersection and across from the bus stop. The street noise was incredibly loud and continuous until after 11:30 pm. It was difficult to relax or even hear the TV, let alone sleep. We did ask for a different room, and they seemed very aware that this is a noisy location in the hotel. Unfortunately there wasn’t another room available during our 2 night stay.…
Excellent central location, very attentive and helpful staff, reasonable cost, good breakfast, however small rooms, small beds, uncomfortable low quality pillows, No air conditioning, the room felt very warm in July, which was disturbing and our sleep was not comfortable, small TV screens.
I only stayed 1 night but was very comfortable in this hotel. The room and decor is deliberate and of an old style but it may not be to everyone's taste. The staff were friendly and helpful, there is a free shuttle bus to the train station however we weren't made aware of this so walked to the hotel. Room was ok size but not enough sockets, plenty of wardrobe space and nice amenities. Breakfast was well catered for and a variety of options available. There is a rooftop bar however it does close rather early and having been up there the view isn't that spectacular. A useful insight, from the train station turn left and go over a ramp to an underground car park, go right to the end and turn right to escalators going all the way up, it's then just a short walk from the top to the hotel. You will also notice that the panoramic platform is if you turn left. Very easy and leg saving way to get to and from the lake. The hotel is smack bang in the centre of town and 30 seconds from the tower clock. I thoroughly recommend the restaurant La Scarpetta for a fine Italian.…
Stayed in this comfortable four star hotel. It’s in a great location in the middle of town. The staff were friendly and efficient and suggested we get their courtesy bus back to the station which was much appreciated. The rooms were comfortable and the mini bar was great, would have been nice if there’d been wine as well as beer and soft drinks. Breakfast was very good and would recommend this hotel. The only two minor negatives were that the rooms were warm so you had to open the window for a bit and the piano bar was Smokey which didn’t appeal to non smokers
This is a prime location in San Moritz with great accessibility. Wether you want to take a walk on the frozen Lagu di San Murezzan (that’s Lake San Moritz), around the the lake or a simple stroll through town, you are located in the middle of things. The hotel is very comfortable with all the amenities one would expect. The gym is well equipped, enough to enable a good workout that won’t make skip the pace just because you’re on vacation. The rooms are are clean and orderly and the beds very comfortable. The only inconvenience we had is a little scuff on one of the front fenders of the car. I suppose these things happen in Europe, since parking space is very limited. I recommend the hotel without reservations.
Great location, next to Tram and ski rental shop. One or two blocks from the City center and all of its great attractions. Excellent on site ownership and outstanding staff create an unforgettable and luxurious vacation and dining experience. My only negative comment is the bar doesn't have a non-smoking section. My last suggestion is go hire the chefs at the Banfi restaurant. They prepared the best food in St. Moritz and would make the Crystal and world beater.
Lovely hotel, well located. Rooms are very cozy Hotel offers pick up/drop off service Good breakfast and friendly staff. Many good restaurants around. Would recommend this hotel.. They offer free cable car tickets for 2 nights stay
The Crystal hotel is a very beautiful hotel in the centre of St.Moritz with lovely rooms furnished in a cosy and at the same time luxurious style. The staff is incredibly friendly and lovely, polite, very helpful and very professional as well. Breakfast buffet is very delicious: There are very fresh, healthy and as well as very tasty products. The egg dishes are also very tasty, especially the egg benedict. The restaurant has great dishes which are beautifully arranged. My stay at the hotel was that lovely that I didn‘t want to return home.
Considering that this hotel is at the lower end of prices in St. Moritz I think average is still an appropriate rating. The hotel rooms are definitely outdated and need to be refurbished. There is also no real Spa with pool available. Given the high ratings this hotel has, I would have expected more.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was comfortable, cosy and very clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious - 1st class!! We were able to check in early and were offered a late check out without even having to ask for it. A perfect stay and we will definitely return to the Crystal. Thank you so much 😍
