We were passing through and decided to stay outside of St Moritz. We chose very well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had all we needed and was clean. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice.
This was our first experience in summertime here, after quite a few winter stays under the previous management. We liked the renovations and enjoyed our stay very much. Compliments to all the staff, they are always very friendly and helpful. Reception, kitchen staff, cleaning team, they all deserve a big thumbs up! We will certainly be back again and would highly recommend this accommodation for winter and summer leasure time.
This was the hotel that booking.com found for us because our original booking with a local apartment was cancelled with less than 24 ours notice. Reception was friendly and the hotel was well located – just a short walk from the train and the bus. Wifi was good. We ate breakfasts and dinner at night at the hotel. Breakfast was good – buffet. Dinner was also fine and the prices were reasonable by Swiss standards. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was fine.
I've stayed in a lot of youth hostels, but this was truly not a good deal (which is the entire point of staying at a youth hostel). First and probably most important (while traveling in an area where even a basic pizza can cost $20): while there is a kitchen, it has no refrigerator, no eating utensils, glasses, cups or even plates or bowls. It does have two pots (without lids) and electric kettles, but that's it. When I asked the manager, she irritatedly replied, "It's a dormitory...!" When I said that most hostels have refrigerators, she basically waved me off. Location is fine, and free off street parking right outside the dorm door. Good security: requires a coded key fob for both outside and room doors. Bathrooms large, clean and well lit. Rooms have large windows for lots of light. Basically, if you are just needing a place to sleep, or intend to be out all day and can afford local restaurants or are ok with cold food, this is fine. If you want the amenties of a youth hostel -- common room, useable kitchen -- skip it.…
The rooms were modern, nice and clean. The location is quiet. The breakfast was good, but not that nicely served. The restaurant looks more like a canteen and we decided not to have dinner there. All in all it was good and we would go back there.
Loved the town, property, staff. It was snowing and a new experience for us as family. Ms. Anne is Front Office was very helpful and cordial. Nice property, spacious rooms, bathrooms. Well heated and kept us cozy. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Train Station......it was amazing experience to walk in the snow for us as family!!! Will go back to Celerina and Alte Brauerei.
The staff was friendly and welcoming and answered multiple questions. It's a short five-minute walk to the Celerina train station where you can catch the Glacier Express. They upgraded our rooms at no extra charge because they had availability. The rooms were great. They were clean, spacious, and well appointed. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, and, while a bit pricey (25 to 30 CHF per meal), it was good food. The breakfast buffet could be better, but overall, I'd definitely stay here again.
Nice hotel, close to railway station of celerina. Glacier express also stops here so it was a good place to board that train. The rooms were very nice and breakfast was good. Room also had a good background view of the mountains from the window over the bed. The breakfast place had a nice character and the staff was very helpful. Nice connectivity to st. Moritz via couple of buses. Not much to see in the town though but that can't affect my review for the hotel.
The hotel is friendly and clean and is situated in a very lovely part of Celerina. You can walk to the nearby church and shops without any fuss. The dining room serves pleasant meals and a good choice of plain fare cooking . The room is practical but enough and there is plenty of hot water . The hotel was undergoing renovations when I visited so I think it will have a good face lift . A real find in this normally very expensive place. Wi fi is available but is better in the dining area,
We were very disappointed as this was not a hotel but a youth hostel. The price was expensive for no hotel amenities. It appeared that those staying there were local construction workers and youth. We slept in uncomfortable twin beds. The breakfast was very limited. This is not a place for couples especially older ones.
