We stayed in Monch 1 which is a downstairs 1 bedroom unit. Check in is at the Hotel Wengerhof next door. Front desk person there was very nice and helpful, holding our luggage until the room was ready and then delivering it for,us. Place is basically a small cozy apt. Access to laundry downstairs which is shared with other units in the building, you get a power key and soap for 10 francs from the hotel. This was a great benefit. The balcony/deck is good for two, but the view has probably diminished over the years as the plantings across the street have grown. Very limited mt. view but there is some. Plantings at the chalet are nice. Decor inside reminded us both of vintage 70s. Browns and oranges. Bed was not good at all for either of us. It is actually two separate twins that don’t have a joining mattress. VERY low to the ground. I like a hard mattress but this was like a college futon almost. So bad sleeping for both of us. Very much liked having this style of room vs a hotel room with limited space. Fridge and kitchen area are good to store drinks and leftovers from restaurant meals. Be aware the bathroom shower is tub style, with a high step in. Surprisingly did not like their bathroom soap choices. Can’t say that I have ever even thought to mention that, but just didn’t like the smell of them.…
We had a great time at the Chalet. Our room was Monch 1 which was on the ground floor. The apartment was clean and spacious with all the modern amenities. The location was ideal as well; it was in the quiet area yet only 5 minutes walk from the station. Special mention to all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The only negative was that the walls are quite thin and we found it a bit difficult to sleep due to noisy neighbors upstairs.
We stayed in Chalet Miravalle, owned/managed by Hotel Wengenerhof and located just beside the hotel. The 3-bedrooms chalet was very large for our family of 5 which include me, my wife and 3 children aged 14, 11 and 7. The kitchen is excellent and we could cook and eat comfortably in-house. The view of the mountains and the valley below from our balcony is majestic. Our chalet is about 5-mins walk from train station and Coop grocery store
Clean and spacious room. Fully equipped kitchen, good to cooked bacon for breakfast and 7 francs for laundry in the basement. Wengen is so beautiful and can’t wait to come back. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Chalet Miravalle is a perfect place for a family with kids. I got the biggest chalet with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bath. It has every basic necessity one requires on daily basis. Fully equiped kitchen was the best thing. The chalet was only 7 mins walk from the train station. The nature is so beautiful in wengen that I loved the walk to and from train station. I loved the breathtaking views from the huge patio. Grocery store is just down 3-4 mins. I will definately book chalet Miravelle in near future. Mr.Caltabiano, the manager, and Catherine at the front desk were very helpful.
My family spent a week in the Swiss alps, and Chalet Miravalle is the only accomodation I would not hesitate to book again if I were in the area. For a family of 4, our spacious apartment on the ground floor was well worth it. At 289 CHF, it was slightly pricey, but no more than you would expect in an area like Wengen. The kitchen is fully equipt if you choose to cook your meals, which I would recommend, especially with the views you get and the lack of good, affordable food around Wengen. Amenities were provided in full, and if we needed anything extra we would walk 30 seconds to the hotel to ask for it, which they kindly provided (i.e. toothbrushes and toothpaste). After a great night's sleep, we woke up and had breakfast overlooking the terrace with a great mountainous view. It is the furthest accommodation from the Wengen train station, but still only a 5 minute walk. I would gladly book this another time for a group.…
We really enjoyed having this spacious apartment complete with kitchen. In the evening we relaxed on the balcony and enjoyed spectacular view of the Alps. Close to town; easy walking distance. Delightful stay.
This condo was fairly nice. The furniture and carpet were quite old and dated so I wouldn't give it five stars but it met all our needs and was conveniently located near town. It seemed fairly clean although we really only slept there one night. We later stayed at a newer condo that was nicer but further from town so I guess it's a trade-off.
We (our Group of 9) decided to stay in an Apartment in Wengen instead of a Hotel and chose this Chalet. We found our stay very comfortable and the Apartment had all the amenities that one requires specially a washer and dryer. The Apartment was in the central part of the small town and all restaurants were close by. The railway station was within a short walking distance. I would recommend the Apartment to anyone planning a stay of more than 3 days. The view from the Apartment of the snow and mountains was a pleasant morning exercise.
During our very first trip to Switzerland, we wanted to stay somewhere in Alps jungfrau valley and we made choice on Chalet Miravalle. It's a beautifully located and surrounded by jungfrau valley mountains. The train station is at walking distance. A decent bathroom, very spacious clean rooms and fully equipped kitchen. The view was spectacular. It's bit expensive, however we all were so much in love of the place that we felt every penny was worth of it. If you really want to have a long lasting memories of your first visit to Switzerland, Chalet Miravalle is the place to go!
