New favorite hotel in Murren - fabulous location, ambience, food, owners. Our room, the Barenloch was quiet and perfect for 3. We enjoyed being here for Wild Season and trying some local dishes. The sitting area is comfy and a nice place to relax.
Hotel Bellevue will be the highlight of our three week European vacation! From the moment we entered the hotel we were warmly greeted, in perfect English, and given so much information about Mürren. Our room was perfection. An amazing view with a bench and table & chairs for enjoying the warm sun. We loved the decor, all so tastefully appointed. The furnishings are outstanding, from the built-in nightstands with electrical outlets, to a sitting chair, couch, desk and built-in closets with plenty of storage. Highlighting our stay was the most delectable breakfast spread we’ve ever seen! There were so many options they are too numerous to list. Every detail of the breakfast was thoughtfully chosen by the hosts. Finally, the restaurant on site was our choice for 3 nights in a row. The food was so delicious and the service outstanding. We cannot recommend Hotel Bellevue enough for travelers to Mürren!…
Simple yet specious, clean room. Food was really great, especially breakfast variety was pleasing. Bathtub is very high for a short person like me and it needs a stool or something to safely get in and out. I'm not sure if he was the owner or not but the staff carried my suitcase and duffle bag in one hand riding on a bicycle from the station! That was super impressive. The price was reasonable and we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.
We stayed for a night during a walking holiday. We found the owners to be exceptionally nice, helpful and cheerful. They went out of their way to help us with luggage problems. Therefore I am happy to give a very warm recommendation to anybody to stay at Hotel Bellevue. You will enjoy every minute of your stay!
We arrived at the hotel with a lot of travel problems such as lost luggage et cetera. At the end of our stay everything was fixed. I think this speaks for the amazing hospitality of the hostess. She helped us with everything and was truly invested in making sure everything was okay. Furthermore the room was great, lounge was amazing and the food was delicious. It’s safe to say that it was an amazing stay, thank you!
From the moment we arrived we had an excellent stay. Our room had been upgraded and we had amazing mountain views from the balconies. There was a good choice at breakfast and the restaurant food was delicious. We particularly recommend the wild boar, crusted lamb and venison ragout soup. There are many walks that you can start from the hotel but if you want something more leisurely then the cablecars and Allmendhubelbahn will get you up into the mountains with ease. Thank you to all the friendly staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
The stay at Hotel Bellevue in Murren was perfect as were the views from the room's balcony & the cool Alps weather. The hotel's staff is exceedingly welcoming & attentive & you are treated royally as their guest. Each morning v^begins with a bountiful breakfast of locally sourced products. In addition the meals in the hotel restaurant were exquisitely prepared & served. I would gladly return at any opportunity to experience the Bellevue's exceptional food again. Equally charming is Murren, a car free Swiss mountain village nestled in the Alps. The ambience was perfect for a week of decompression & total relaxation. I truly hope to find an opportunity to experience the Hotel Bellevue again. It has a special place in my memory.
A family of 3 stayed here for 4 nights just before Christmas. We have stayed here before and as always perfect view, next door to the ski school and ski lifts, spotlessly clean, spacious rooms, food excellent especially the buffet breakfast. Othmar and Ruth are fantastic hosts as are all the staff.....Cant recommend the place enough. THANK YOU.
Our stay here was great and Ruth & Otto, the owners, as well as the rest of the staff are just fantastic! We drove, so we parked in the lower lot and took the tram up through Gimmelwald. We were expecting a pretty long walk with our luggage, but it wasn't too bad at all (400 meters and about 5 minutes), and had nice smooth streets. The property is located on the North side of town, which we liked, on a quieter road, off the main street. The rooms are located on floors 1 & 2, so there will be stairs to climb. They don't have an elevator, but the stairs are wide and nice. The rooms were very nice, had great beds and the bedding was wonderful too. Our room was very spacious and clean and even the bathroom had a lot of space and a nice sink area. The shower was nice, had nice pressure, and got hot quickly. We didn't find AC in the room, but we didn't look because it wasn't needed the time of year we stayed. Our room also had a balcony, which was really cool because of the views and also all the windows. It also had a TV with English channels, but we mostly kept it on the Cam channel, which showed live views of the tops of the trams/mountains. A HUGE BONUS to us staying here was the FABULOUS breakfast! Our host for breakfast was one of the owners, Ruth, and she did so much to make us happy. She made my wife hot chocolate every morning and had a full buffet of 5-7 breads, local cheeses, local jellies, eggs (soft and hard boiled), yogurt, milk, juice, meats and even had some granola bars for your hikes later in the day! We WILL stay here again and HIGHLY recommend a stay here.…
Really lovely view. A little wait for a table but we did come at peak tourist season. Good service and nice weather. Great indoor facilities to be able to sit as well and we were encouraged to use the lounge area. Nice food which was reasonably priced as well.
