Awesome and affordable place for backpackers like me. Place is 10-15mins walk from Interlaken OST train station or you could take a bus. Cheapest room will be at 39.50franc per person for one night. You will be given 2 tokens per daystay that can be used at the hostel for coffee/hot choc(1token) or washing machine(2token) or surf the net(1token for...

My family and I stayed here in 2013 and were very impressed with the place. The room was very comfy, the walls nice and thick so as to keep things quiet at night, self-catering communal kitchen was very well stocked in indeed with several cookers, fridges and plenty of cooking utensils. Games room was good, we enjoyed the outdoors pool...

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms and facilities extremely clean. Nice garden to relax in. However the downsides are the breakfast which is poor by hostel standards - no cheese or meats provided just bread, cereal and jams. I was very disappointed by this. The real problem though is the overwhelming number of Koreans staying which means the hostel...

This is an awesome hostel; one of the best we've stayed at (over many years). The staff are universally friendly, patient and helpful, although we have to single Daniel out for a special mention. He is a gem! Our small, comfort double room was exactly as described (so if you need heaps of space book a bigger room) and was...

My family and I stayed here in a private room for 5 nights. We were very happy with the hostel. It is very clean, all the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is pretty good. There's a kitchen that's pretty well equipped with stoves and fridges where you can store your food and cook it. There's coffee...

Interlaken - and Switzerland in general - is a very expensive place. So it helps that there is cheap accomodation around for backpackers like yours truly. Villa Sonnenhof makes it clear that it is not a party hostel like that noisy brigade down the road. Indeed, order is priority here - I remember getting a note from the staff to...

As far as hostels go, this is a great choice. The prices are cheaper then a hotel, and the amenities are good, if different than a normal hotel. Amenities at Backpacker's Villa include two coffee/latte/cocoa/laundry/internet (with printing) tokens per person per day; a small breakfast (bread, jam, butter, yogurt, granola); two kitchens with pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc; several eating...

It was a great stay! Thank you Nathalie and all the staff! You were helpful, courteous and always smiling and appeared efficient in all aspects! Could you please add a fruit for breakfast? Also, could you introduce a process for people to book cooking and washing machine slots in advance? We hope to come back!!
