The campsite is so picturesque! At the foot of the eiger the views to wake up to are stunning! The owners are really friendly, the facilities are really clean, and it's a 10min walk (uphill) to grindlewald town centre! Can't compare other campsites in the area but we were not disappointed!! Highly recommend

What an outstanding view ! In one direction the picturesque town of Grindelwald, wooden chalets, cows with bells, rolling green hills. In the other direction, when the clouds recede, an amazing view of the North Face of the Eiger fills the sky. Stunning. There is plenty of space on the camp site, there is a BBQ hut which could hold... More

Where else can you look out of your motorhome and study the north face of the Eiger? This site was a little more expensive than others we stayed at, but the facilities were good with hot water included in the price. Not only were the views superb, but its location was just a 10 minute walk from the train station... More

Rudi treated us so well when we arrived, late. The amenities were clean and the showers hot. The camping spots weren't crowded even though they weren't divided for privacy, your neighbours seemed far away. The toilets had seats. Go figure. I wish the rest of Europe would get on board and put the seats back on. After all, the holes are... More

What a nice camping this is! Plenty of space, excellent facilities, close to everything you (may) need. Nice mix of crowd: alpinists, families and pensionados. Affordable. If you arrive before 3PM they guarantee a space, but it's so big that I assume there's always room.

This campsite is very good. It has nice clean shower/toilet facilities, plenty of space for tents and caravans. Staff helpful. And most of all, when the weather is clear you can stare at the north face of the Eiger from the comfort of your tent. It is a quick 20 min walk into town but you can catch the local... More

We stayed in July. Was fantastic. It must be my favourite campsite ever. We were unlucky with the weather but that did not cause a problem. Ground remained hard. Our choice for a location of Pictish was not so great as the ground is not flat over the entire site. The campsite is very close to the Grund tram station.... More

We stayed here in the first week of September and it was very quiet. It was our second visit to this camping and we were again impressed by the magnificant location. There is a wonderful view of the Eiger and other mountains including the Schreckhorn and the Wetterhorn. It is really a beautiful place to camp. The small kiosk at... More

Spent a night here in a tent and the grass is thick so no rocks to sleep on like other campsites. No specific pitch numbers so feel free to set the tent up anywhere. Amazing location with a view of the mountains. Only downside is the facilities - no soap in toilet area, very small toilets, small shower area so... More

This campsite is in a beautiful spot; what could be nicer than waking up to the view of the Eiger mountain (apart from waking up to find you have won the lottery rollover)?. This was our second time here having stayed a couple of years ago. The showers and toilets are plentiful and clean. There is a restaurant on site and... More
