We asked for a room with a view of the Eiger and a balcony and could not have been more pleased. The view was spectacular and accommodations were lovely. The hotel staff was very helpful with all information. Located near the cable car lifts and town, everything was easy to get to.

The scenic view of the mountain and the valley of Grindelwald that one can see from the hotel is breathtaking. The friendliness and care of the management and staff is pleasant. Downtown Grindelwald is a walking distance away, yet hard to regularly walk to due to the location of the hotel up a hill. We loved having the breakfast in... More

This hotel is situated just outside the center of town with a wonderful view of the mountains. Our room had a lovely balcony that overlooked the beautiful view as well as the very proximate balconies of the other guests. The rooms are quirky and a bit stark. This hotel has had one or more additions, so I would expect a... More

The hotel is a little away from the centre of grindelwald, but it makes it special too. We were in a group of 10 so, We rented 2 apartments and the views from them were breath taking. The hotel staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The restaurant looks quite classic in design. Overall there aren't many facilities... More

We loved the hotel and our room was amazing - we were on the first floor with a gorgeous view of the Eiger Mt...the breakfast each morning was wonderful and the coffee was great! There are two things that stop me from giving it 5 stars.. 1) even though our room had two bathrooms - one had a sink and... More

Thanks to Railbookers, who arranged our rail transit in Italy and Switzerland, along with lodging accommodations, my family and I utterly enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel Kirchbuehl in Grindelwald. As a previous reviewer commented, “Fantastic location, glorious views”. For us, this part of the country was simply breathtaking, surrounded by fresh cool air and snow-capped peaks. The hotel staff... More

We had for the most part an excellent stay at the Kirchbuehl with one exception. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and the food was excellent. The one exception was a very rude server who insisted he make me my next Mojito because the young lady that made it for me the previous day didn't do it... More

We stayed at the Hotel Kirchbuehl during our 4 day visit to Grindelwald. We stayed in a three-room apartment (Cervin) and we had a lovely time. The apartment is spacious, lovely view, from the balcony, and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped for family dinners and there is no big list of do's and don'ts (which is a relief).... More

We stayed here for three nights during a two week visit to Switzerland and looking forward to it as on researching it appeared to be the best of the three hotels we were staying in, it wasn't! It would have helped if we had been Swiss, German or Dutch. The biggest ommission was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities and... More

The bath and toilet are separate, which can be great for a small family; one for dad to use while mommy bathes the kids etc. The room is spacious, my son could dance in it (at night, after hours of sledging and hiking, sigh….). The people that work at the hotel are lovely and helpful. Even the dog is super... More
