The location is spectacular, walkable to anything in Grindelwald. Not to mention the majestic view of the swiss mountains. The staff was wonderful! Breakfast was fresh with many options, again the view from the restaurant was something you would never forget. The room was spacious with a balcony and the views. All guests can use the spa facility which includes an outdoor and indoor jacuzzis, a pool, a sauna, a steam room, we enjoyed all of them.
I would like to thank you for the great hospitality. We are always very happy when we have time to visit your hotel. Nice, comfortable room, amazing view, super spa and the food is 5*+ :) We will go back for sure :) See you soon and Best Regards, Edina and Miklos
We had a great deal for the weekend with three nights for the price of two for two adults and a child. Received a very good welcome and an easy check in process after which we had a lovely glass of wine and local meat and cheese plater. on the balcony looking at the fantastic view of the Eiger. Staff generally very helpful and polite. Wellness area was clean and had good facilities, we had a very nice massage, even for kids. Also plenty of fresh towels and the water was warm. The room was a great family room one of the best with separate bedrooms that could be closed off with doors and two bathrooms also a nice big balcony. Highly recommended for any family. The hotel also has a good play room in the basement and the location is within 5 minutes of the railway station and a bus stop just outside the door. Would highly recommend this hotel.…
We are greeted with warm welcome and refreshments after our long flight and train upon arrival at Grindelwald. We are further Wow-ed by the stunning view from the balcony after check in to our room. Room is spacious and clean. Friendly staffs, great breakfast selection. Definitely the best accommodation during our trip in Switzerland.
This hotel was very nice. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a complimentary drink, which was nice. Our room was spacious, clean and had, of course, an unbelievable view of a gorgeous town and the Swiss Alps. Their breakfast was a superb buffet and their dinner was excellent as well. The staff was very nice and the hotel was charming. When we left, they drove us to the train station, While I would not downgrade the hotel for this, I was disappointed in one thing. They gave us a 10% discount coupon for dinner in their restaurant. I charged the dinner ($175 EU for 3) to the room, meaning that it was not yet charged to a credit card. I forgot to give them the coupon, but 10 minutes later informed the front desk and they told me that they couldn't honor the 10% because I didn't present it at dinner. I thought this was a bit chinzy, since they easily could have adjusted the hotel bill for $17.50 EU. We therefore ate elsewhere the next night. While this was disappointing, the overall stay was excellent and we would stay there again.…
We stayed in Hotel Belvedere for 2 days, the staff were very friendly, pretty much helped us booked everything at the reception when we arrived. Transportation is also convenient from the hotel, perfect location. Room view is amazing, but we're not satisfied with the drain pipe from the tub. Other than that, we're very comfortable with the spacious room. We especially love the breakfast, fresh and delicious! However, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant for the second day, the staff made us waited for 5 minutes. They saw us standing but no one came to us immediately. A bit disappointed. Overall, service is quite good, thank you Belvedere for the wonderful stay.
We stayed in Hotel Belvedere for a week and enjoyed the first family skiing in Grindelwald. The hotel is perfectly located between the two cable car ski lift and offers much more than you expect. The booking is easy and via your “my page” you could select everything you needed during your stay, like preferred pillow, bathrobe size, kids stuff (slipper, bath gel, also bathrobe for kids, cute blue slippers for my son), indicate food intolerance…. All were waiting for us in our room, we felt our experience in the hotel is important and they wanted to make our staying as pleasant as possible. The hotel staff is extremely nice and helpful, they welcomed us warmly and showed us around right upon our arrival. We felt right away that each and every guest matters, and the hotel has this amazing “big family” feeling. They offer complementary soup during the afternoon to warm you up when you get back from the slopes, the swimming pool - sauna can be used by children as well till 6pm, and afterwards the adults can enjoy it without kids interruption, perfect balance. The rooms are comfortable and big enough, the bathrooms are modern and clean (floor heating). We loved it here, for sure come back!…
We stayed at Belvedere for 2 nights. We booked the Pure package which included breakfasts, half board for dinners, and a day rental for snow shoeing. We were very comfortable in our spacious rooms. The highlight of our trip was snowshoeing -the Belvedere packed a lovely lunch which we enjoyed while looking at the most beautiful views I have ever seen. The half board meals were delicious and our service was impeccable. Thank you Belvedere for a truly memorable experience.
Good Location, un inspiring building, good chef Staff traing an issue Hit and miss Housekeeping Turndown timings Lack of staff in pool area particularly in Adult only time Overall reasonable experiance
We stayed in the Hotel Belvedere for a week at the beginning of March. The hotel is fantastic, in a great location and with great views of the mountains. We stayed in a room with a view of the Eiger which was amazing to wake up to. The hotel facilities are very good with a nice pool and spa area and a lovely lounge with panoramic views. The food and range of choice was excellent. However, the best thing about the hotel is the staff. Everyone member of staff was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. From the guy who drove us to the slopes every morning, to the receptionist team and the team in the restaurant including the pianist, all were amazing. A highlight was also going curling with Urs, the hotel owner. Never tried it before and much more difficult than it looks, but great fun. We were blessed with blue skies all week and great snow to ski on and the new lifts make this a great, if not too difficult, ski area. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return soon ourselves.…
