The top floor room just below the roof was very warm, no airco and no option to open more than 1 window to get a breeze. The roof window was giving a lot of light early morning so if you wake up when it gets light.....the pillows did not give any support at all. I developed a terrible pain in...

Located outside the " Touristy" town of Grindelwald, this place is a real gem. Hard to find without local help, as it i situated several mikes out of town. Not many signs to direct you in driving to it. Its worth the effort to find it.

We stayed here for two nights. Lovely location and views, despite being a bit industrial. Room clean and roomy. Children's beds accessed via a ladder fixed to a wall....not great for us as one of ours has mobility problems so Dad had to sleep upstairs with younger son! The evening meal we had here was very good if expensive (especially...

We stayed here for a week's walking holiday and it proved a perfect base. The hotel is very comfortable and the location lovely being nearer to the edge of the town. However, it was the friendliness of the owners and staff which made it such an enjoyable stay, together with the lovely fod served daily. If felt very much like...

We arrived here after a VERY long drive from Tuscany. We were quite surprised that there were a couple of industrial buildings nearby but it really didn't distract from the other views around this hotel. There is a huge waterfall coming down from the lake in the glacier above the hotel and it's quite something to know that you're looking...

ok, so the lady who greeted us in the restaurant, and I only assume she was the manager, who then walked us to the reception desk above, falls a bit short on personality, but the lovely young waitress (with amazing service skills) made up for it throughout our stay. In fact, we didn't really see "Mrs. Wonderful" beyond our arrival....

We were pleasantly surprised with our wonderful experience at Gletscherschlucht. We called late in the evening to arrange a room and they waited for our 10:45 pm arrival. We hadn't eaten and they were kind enough to provide a small snack and tea for us. They were very welcoming and warm in receiving us. The breakfast is excellent. Dinner is...
