I don't know about you, but I've been and will remain a big fan of Clint Eastwood. I have also had the privilege of meeting him personally a thousand years ago in the restaurant he owns in San Francisco. But enough of that. If you haven't seen the movie I'm quoting in the title of this review, you need to...

Spent a long 10 day ski break at the hotel with our 9 year old son. To start with, the hotel is in a great location on the main road in Grindelwald, only 5 minutes walk away from Grindelwald station and just beside a bus stop, from which buses will take you to the various lifts (First or Männlichen) or...

We stayed here one night and booked two nights before. Upon arrival at 11, the room was not ready (check-in) at 2, but the nice redhead girl went ahead and advised us to leave our luggage there then helped purchased our train tickets. We couldn't find parking on the right side so we parked on the left next to the...

We were visiting the hotel for 2 nights as part of a group before heading out on a river cruise. I will say, visiting the other guests rooms in our party, there's quite a difference between rooms that face the mountains and those that face the street in style/decor. Nonetheless, although our room was a street view one, we were...

Older, ski lodge type hotel but comfortable. Bathroom a bit small but views to die for. Staff friendly and food good. Easy walk to shops and train station. Lovely terrace for dinner on late summer evenings.

This was our second visit to The Spinne so we obviously like it there. It is an older hotel but provides comfortable rooms and good service. Most of all, it has wonderful views of the Eiger and the picturesque valley leading up to Kleine Sheideg. It has a lovely terrace at the back with views of the mountains where meals...

Loved our stay at Hotel Spinne. It's located right in the city center, just a couple of minutes walk from the train station. The rear side rooms and the restaurant terrace provides an unobstructed view of the valley and the Eiger. The facilities are fresh, clean and well maintained. The comperhensive breakfast buffet is served in a large restaurant which...

We were here for a week. It's brilliantly placed for lots of fantastic trips and the views from the hotel are awesome. We had half board and the food and service was great. The spa WA surest too...although in the skiing season it gets busy. We loved it .

Four of us had dinner and we were drawn to the beautiful views of the Eiger on the terrace. The salads and meals were excellent. We had the Merlot with dinner and it was good and reasonably priced. We would eat there again. We did not have a reservation so we had a beer at the bar until our table...
