Beautiful hotel with the most amazing view.. comfy beds and spotless rooms. The staff are amazing especially Raphaela. We left a bag behind and she has been so helpful to get it back to us. We will definitely return.
We loved waking up to the Eiger mountain view every morning; it was just like living in a postcard. The room was of a good size and spotless clean. The booking also included a sumptuous breakfast, whilst dinner was served at an extra cost. We found this very convenient on certain days when we were too tired to go out to dinner after a full day of trekking / hiking. We always found help from host Raphaela and her team; thank you
We stayed here for one night in July and wish we stayed longer. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The view from the hotel deck/balcony was wonderful and just the place to enjoy a cold beer after a day of hiking. Breakfast and dinner were also very good. We stayed downtown a week later and wished we were back here where it's quieter. We will come back, God willing.
We had a fantastic stay here. The hotel is beautiful and is situated in the most breathtaking place with views you can only dream of. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and very well looked after. The included breakfast buffet is plentiful and very fresh. The food from the hotel restaurant is wonderful and reasonably priced considering the area. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. I could have just stayed out there forever. We had the most amazing stay and would love to return one day in the future.
We stayed 4 nights in the family suite on the top floor. There was plenty of space for our family - including 2 teens and all their stuff. The view from our room was out of this world ... we literally sat and watched the world go by whenever we were in the hotel room. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices, including for vegetarians. They provided lots of towels, daily room cleaning if desired. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk or 3 stop bus ride into the heart of Grindelwald, which was more than fine with us. We were looking for something a little more laid back and quiet, and didn't want to be with all the others on the main strip.
The view from the balcony was simply spectacular. The amenities in the room, however, were a bit dated. Seemed like all the furniture was from the 80s. The system of keys was a bit awkward, but not too difficult to manage.
A friend and I stayed there for 2 nights to explore the area and loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous and helpful. It is a bit of a walk and it's pretty much all uphill from the train station so if you have a lot of luggage I recommend a bus or arranging a ride but once you are up there the view is wonderful. I would stay again if I was back in the area
Everything was outstanding about our stay at Hotel Gletscherblick. The personnel were extremely personable. The food and drink were excellent. The room and its view were remarkable! Expensive, but well worth it as it was the BEST of Grindelwald. Hotel is away from the "maddening crowd" of the village of Grindelwald and perfect, quiet setting !
A very nice hotel with amazing views of the Swiss alps. The room was very clean, and we had a nice breakfast every morning. They also have a restaurant which is nice so you don’t have to go into town for dinner every night. There is no AC, but it cooled down at night and you could open the window so it was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Bed. 7,5/100 This hotel is located above the main town of Grindelwald, which does not matter all that much as they offer free bus tickets and shuffle service to the centre of town. The service is good and friendly and Englis well-spoken. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was very good.
