I had one short night in Saint-Gallen and wanted a central hotel. The reviews mentioned a cute and unique place and I thought I'd give it a try. I arrived late around 8:30pm and the hotel checked on my arrival time by SMS while I was still on the train. I was greeted by a very friendly person in French...

I have been going to this little hotel for 15 years! It is now with the third generation and still as special as the first time we stepped into this hotel. Breakfast served, rooms all in art deco style mixed with a bit of french character, absolute love the top and everything is for sale ... the dining room is...

What a gem! The hotel has been owned by the same family for many decades, and you can see the care and concern that goes into the experience. They provide wonderful local insights, as well as an exceptional breakfast set in an oppulent room filled with chandeliers and other treasures. They now have both WiFi and an option to pay...

They were nice to leave the keys upon my late arrival and flexible with me leaving my bags there after check out while I attended to business matters. My room was clean and cosy. Room was facing the street so was slightly noisy during the day. Breakfast of CHF15 was lovely with swiss cheese and ham. The location of the...

My wife and I spent two days in the Hotel am Ring in St. Gallen. The major positives included the proprietor (very friendly, fluent in English, and filled with helpful advice for the local sights and parking logistics), the memorable breakfast (not a buffet, but rather a nice selection of local Swiss cheeses, cold cuts, home made jam, and breads...

This hotel is a special place because it's also an antiques shop managed by a lovely lady. We really enjoyed our stay with both our daughters (2 and 4 years old). It's close to the center and there are parking spaces pretty close to it. I think I'll remember our breakfast surrounded by all those antique things and chandeliers for...

this cosy little hotel is located in walking distance from the town center with the cathedral and library. the rooms are very small but each room has its individual charm and interior design. Breakfast is served on antique porcelane and in the little antique shop next to the hotel. I would say 60 chandeliers are hanging there! Mrs. Vilanrino-Knoblauch (the...

We stayed for 5 nights in April/May and the negatives far outweighed the positives. We expected the Friday and Saturday nights to be noisey, and they were, but so were Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights. The shouting and yelling along the street went on until 4 or 5 in the morning and the traffic noise was continuous. Our room on...

I knew nothing about this hotel when I booked and was absolutely delighted. It's small but absolutely charming and very conveniently located. The dining room where you have the generous breakfast (with cheese and ham and home-made jam) doubles as an antiquities store, full of interesting objects, chandeliers, and clocks. There are also plenty of original and charming decorative items...
