We booked this hotel for two nights as part of a four week European holiday. Due to the covid-19 pandemic our 2 week stay in Italy was cancelled. Therefore we needed to cancel the remaining hotels we had booked. Two members of our family also suffered with medical conditions which meant we were shielding and couldnt leave our house till August 1st. We contacted the hotel to ask for a refund or even a partial refund to be completely refused. They did offer to transfer the dates but we can't have a 2 night break in Switzerland! That just doesn't work when it was booked as part of a bigger holiday. We completely understand the struggles for hotels at the moment but we would have appreciated some understanding and at least a partial refund.
I would give this place a zero stars if that was possible. It is worse than a Motel 6. There’s no reception after 9 PM. We have to go across the street to another hotel which is very nice but totally booked. The rooms are very small with no view and they cost over $300 a night. I would highly recommend finding another place to stay.
Spent one night here. Was reasonably comfortable and we slept well, despite the busy road. Although the room was rather small, it was clean and had the basics. Breakfast, served across the road at The Hermitage, is an extra 25chf! Tea/coffee facilities downstairs for guests to use until early evening. Bus stops nearby so one can get transport easily to Luzern city centre.
Located just near the Luzern lake, the hotel is clean and provides u great hospitality. The hotel staff Anita and Luisa are very helpful and will guide u throughout your stay. The owner is very helpful. The hotel provides u almost every facilities from good rooms. I recommend this hotel every one and easy to commute from 🚌, 🚣♀️ and 🚞 station.
Really disappointing experience as they expect us to live with the mess others created. When we arrived to our room, we were surprised that it’s rather tiny and a single big bed while we wanted a twin bed. Also, the carpet was wet. So we went down back to the receptionist to ask to change rooms. The receptionist was entertaining someone else (a couple) and we could hear their entire conversation: Receptionist: you were in room xxx and you made the whole floor wet. How did you flood the bathroom will the carpet in the room got wet? The girlfriend or Wife : I think he (pointing to her partner) didn’t close the shower curtains Receptionist: Don’t make your new room wet. Then they went off. Now the room number she quoted was our current room number. Shockingly, she let the couple move but when we approached her, she said your carpet is dry. I’ve checked blah blah. Too bad gift her that I took pictures and showed her proof on the spot that it’s still wet. I said how did you let the couple change rooms ? She said “no, I didn’t”. Then said paused and said “oh you heard that”. Guess what, she still refused to let us change rooms. Just said she will give us more towels to put on the carpet and spritz some air freshener which didn’t even help. Don’t bother staying in such a poor serviced hotel pls. No effort at all. Btw, she refused to spray more freshener got the room which had a wet stale smell and with the towel, we can’t even close the bathroom door! Doesn’t help us :( Pro: Ok to get to Bus stops nearby A small lift which is better than nothing if you have luggages Cons: Not in the main city centre Basic breakfast Staff gone by 9/10 pm but you can go across the road to the main hotel for any help …
