I had a lovely stay. I had an attic room. The bathroom is very modern and hot water pressure was perfect. The room was clean. It was an attic room with those pillar thingies on the side, not an issue for me, you just stay away from them, it was fine. But I would not recommend that particular room for an above-average tall person. Wifi worked perfectly. The bathroom was very very modern and clean, my kinda bathroom. For the price that you pay, you cant beat the hotel’s central location. I walked casually to Lucern main station in approx 7 minutes. You can walk to most places around central Lucern easily. Two supermarkets are conveniently located by the train station. The “industrial” lift that several people whinge about is perfectly fine, it works well and gets the job done. Thank you for the pleasant stay

I booked a room for one night, (room 361) If I remember right was on the fifth floor an attic room. Well first impression was (what the f... Is this) You can hardly walk without to crash on the Ceiling. Bathroom was nice. The whole night I could here the water from central heating making noises...I couldn't rest at all. This room is not to been given and for the price you ask. The funniest in all is that I was abit lucky and got a deal on my booking to pay less than normally they charge. Ah...and the will charge you an extra fee 8 sfr cause of taxes ....while in booking was clearly explained no extra fees or taxes.

It was a bit confusing finding this hotel, as the check in desk is located in a completely different building, on an adjacent town square. The desk is manned for limited hours, and the friendliness of the front desk was mediocre at best. When we arrived in our room, it was a lovely little efficiency on the second floor--right next to their restaurant. There was a little kitchenette and a nice sized fridge. However, there was a sign next to the kitchenette instructing the guest not to use any of its features (eg: stove top), lest they wish to pay a hefty fine. There was also a really noisome odor that we just could not shake, regardless of opening all the windows and circulating the air with the provided fans. I looked everywhere for its source but couldn't find it. It's the only place I've ever stayed where an ODOR actually kept me awake at night! Other than those items, the rooms seemed clean, and there was plenty of space to move about. The bathrooms were nice, and there were adequate provisions. We had a view overlooking the square, and across from some historic buildings. In the morning, we awoke to a parade traveling through the square--all quite engaging.

Great location, less than adequate in all other areas. When we arrived at midnight we found the hotel locked up with a sign on the door to walk about a city block to another hotel for check-in. Since it was raining and I was on crutches with my luggage in tow and had gone to the extra expense of a taxi to take me directly to the hotel, I was not too happy about trying to hobble over to another location with no assistance and no forewarning. After walking to the other Hotel Kroner that one was locked up too and the man that answered the bell was not helpful and hung up on us. He then appeared behind us (carrying an umbrella for himself) after a few minutes to walk us to a third location for check-in. After checking in finally we had to walk back to the original hotel in the rain on crutches with no assistance to let ourselves into the hotel. After climbing a narrow staircase, the lift was industrial and you had to keep holding the button down to get to your floor. Then the room was very basic and not that clean. The glass walls of the bathroom and shower were filthy, the shelves above the fridge were dirty, walls dirty and marked up, and the floor was dirty. The bed was hard as a rock - the floor may have been more comfortable if it had only been clean. The pillow was huge and went totally flat under your head. In Oct. the room was quite chilly and I had to go ask for another blanket at the desk of the Kroner hotel the next day because there are no phones in the rooms to ask the desk of either of the other hotels to request assistance. Breakfast was mediocre at the Kroner. The best part of our stay was the decent cappuccino's at breakfast and the fabulous location and view.

For my wife and I’s first trip to Europe we decided to pick places to stay based solely on location. This was a good pick for that as this hotel is right in the middle of a main part of the town with easy access to lots of sights, places to eat and people all around. The hotel did not have very many amenities, it was a bit dirty, and the room was barely big enough to put our bags on the floor. The reception for the hotel was actually in a different building and the instructions for check in could have been improved. The staff wasn’t very friendly at check in and so we were a bit put off. Overall the location was hands down the best feature and for that reason we would probably stay here again.
