Definitely budget hotel. You feel like you are back to staying in a college dorm. Service though was friendly, but the halls smelled liked Raid. Maybe for a reason. Clean showers. But again- such basic rooms. We went during a heat wave and it really was unbearable. It may be pleasant in the winter. Breakfast was a little better than standard. Location was good.

This hotel was a perfect location on the river. It was super clean, quiet and an easy walk to old town shops, museums and good food. Especially as a woman alone!! I think it was only listed as a 2-3 star which usually doesn’t mean “great” in the US, but I’d happily stay here again. Oh, and it includes a decent breakfast as well.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and 2 kids. Location: A 15 mins walk from the train station, definitely doable and scenic. But if you are a family with crying kids and luggage, like me, I will suggest you find a closer hotel. There are many flying insects on the last 50m walkway to the hotel, they can be a nuisance. Breakfast: excellent choices. Service: Very helpful, friendly and understanding. Gave us an earlier check-in when the front desk saw us with luggage and a sleeping baby. They helped us to collect, fold and return our clothes from the laundromat when we were out sightseeing. Facilities: laundry, the reason why we chose this hotel in the first place 10CHF per wash. Room: "suite" with kitchen and 3 rooms. However the corridor is shared with other businesses. Floor is creaking when you walk on it. Insects,spiders and cobwebs are a real problem at the windows. We dared not open the windows beyond a small gap. Balcony photos posted online were misleading. We don't think anyone can sip wine on the balcony with the amount of cobwebs.…

Considering you are in Switzerland (and that we were visiting at peak season), the hotel is just about okay for the money you pay. Rooms are nice but the housekeeping is terrible. Don't expect anything other than that they will make your bed and clean toilets. No restocking of basic toiletries, or room cleaning.Breakfast is filling. Excellent location and an extremely friendly front desk staff are the plus points.
