We had a chance to leave kids to friends so we arranged a romantic weekend as just a couple. Schweitzerhof Luzern was a great decision. They have arranged the most beautiful room with stunning view and a bottle of greeting champagne. A lot of small treats at room. Love their shower gel and shampoo choice too. The staffs were all super friendly and professional. We have tried their 175 years special menu at their restaurant. Amazing amount of dishes and good combinations of vegetables and protein. Desserts were delicious. If you have chances to catch this special menu. Don’t miss it. Thank you hotel Schweitzerhof for this rememberable weekend.
my wife and me spent a great one night Corona getaway at the Hotel Schweizerhof. We have not been for a while. The hotel was closed during the lockdown and you could feel with every staff how happy they are that they can open again. We had their 175 years anniversary menu for dinner with an excellent bottle of Swiss (!) red wine produced by Delea vinery in Ticino. It always makes me happy to spend some time in this hotel, especially when there is sunshine in the morning and one can see the mountain scenery from the little balcony of the room. one sad thing was that they could not offer their awesome breakfast buffet due to corona restrictions but still i got my favourite Eggs Benedict!
We wanted to stay in a great place offering Lake view and a Gala Dinner to celebrate NYE 2021: This was definitely the perfect choice: We had a wonderful Suite overlooking the Lake, which was amazing to see all fireworks set by revellers. The Gala Dinner was sumptuous and delicious, in a beautiful setting. Shame we could not dance (due to Covid) but the Dinner was certainly a great way to celebrate NYE in style. Also a delicious Buffet Brunch on the 1st of January made us enjoy this stay very much. A very recommended place to discover a beautiful city!
We stayed at the Schweizerhof Luzern for 3 nights in November 2020, during Covid-19. The hotel is located in front of the lake and had we had a beautiful room. They had upgraded us to a Suite which was a really nice gesture. The room was spacious and clean, and we had both a shower and a bathtub in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, though nothing really special. As per Covid restrictions, breakfast was only available through room service but I thought the pastries were not that good and the selection of granola/musli wasn't special either. Just not good enough for the hotel and price. The staff as well was not attentive at all. We were carrying our luggage and nobody helped us up the outdoor steps, and nobody even assisted us once we entered. Every time we left or came back to the hotel, nobody even lifted their heads up from their computers to acknowledge us when we said goodbye or hello. Not really attentive, that's all. The room was newly refurbished and we enjoyed it, however the lack of attention on behalf of the staff and the average breakfast is the reason for the 3/5 score.…
We just spent the weekend in this hotel and we had a fantastic stay. The staff (even with the mask) are always smiling and make sure you are always ok and not missing anything. We received complementary little cakes and signed card to welcome my family. Breakfast was really good too with various dishes to choose and taste. The room are great and bed very comfortable. The kids were so happy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families who want to share a good family moment.
