First of all, I have not stayed in this hotel, yet. We booked a non-refundable room for our stay in mid-May 2020, but due to the coronavirus, our flights to Europe were cancelled. I emailed them and asked if we could cancel for a refund, which they generously refunded without any hassle. I hope to visit Lucerne soon and will look forward to staying in Hotel Schlussel 1545.

Hotel Schlüssel was extremely charming. Stayed here 2 nights. Loved the renovated rooms, the wifi worked good enough in our rooms. Staff was very friendly. Grocery store located 10 minutes away, walking distance from the train station and the main tourist area. Offered us a free bus pass for the duration of our stay which was a plus.

We stayed for 2 nights in room 10 in the loft area. It was a room of charming detail, totally quiet and super spacious. It was New Years Eve so the restaurant was fully booked, but no problem, the staff brought my wife and I a fabulous selection of cheese, hams breads etc. with a great bottle of wine and we saw the New Year in together in this Gorgeous Room!!! We both appreciated the attention to detail concerning all items in the room, all being of great taste. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely return !!!

We rented 5 rooms for a family wedding at the nearby Jesuit Church which was just around the corner. Obviously the location was perfect. We booked the breakfast inclusive rate and breakfast was acceptable. The wifi is an issue there so if you're dependent on having that service then you'd best look elsewhere. The Christmas Market was in full swing just outside our window - what great fun. With the window closed you could just barely hear the festivities. The room looked recently refurbished as well as the bathroom. I really loved this little place.
