They have really made the most of the place! The room was tiny, but that gave it its unique and comfortable atmosphere. The furniture fits in perfectly and they used every available space without the room seeming crowded. Walls and floors are very thin, so you can hear everything around you, but even here they made the most of it and thought of earplugs (photo), which I thought was very sweet and unique. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I loved it and I will come back!

Staff was very welcoming and helpful the hotel served it's purpose of being a place to rest your head & take a shower. We stayed in the room with two twin beds & the green cabinetry. The bathroom is just a few steps down the hall & is shared with two other rooms. If you are looking for a place to rest up after a long day touring the city then this is a good place to do that, if you are looking for a bit more from a hotel, you may want to look for more options. Also of note, there is a Coop Grocery store nearby, as well as a pharmacy & coffee shops. Good location in the city & only about 15 minutes on foot from the train station.

Nice to hear that you enjoyed our simplest of rooms....we have more luxurious categories, even with AC, at a slightly dearer rate but still good value for Geneva. With best regards Erik Gangsted

Stayed here last night (12.12.19) we arrived around 23.30. About 15mins wall from train station. It is inside another building to get to it, press buzzer and reception will let you in. Take the lift to 6 floor. Receptionist was a lady who was great full of smiles and information, we stayed in room 15 which was a small double, as you walk in tug walk in to a bathroom then the bedroom. It’s is very small my partner is quite a large chap (muscle wise) and he really struggled to use the shower I am around a size 12 and I struggled also as it is tiny but ok for a night. (Hope this helps) we forgot our adapter (which is a 3 prong one). So I went to reception and they kindly lent us one. Bed supper comfy. Breakfast gets delivered to the room at time of your choice and is choice of tea, coffee, hot choc. Orange juice 2 bread rolls each, butter, jam. On check out you can leave your suitcase there and pick up later. It’s in a handy part of town also, close to everything you need. I really enjoyed staying here 😊

Hotel Central is on the sixth floor of a building very close indeed to the central shopping and tourist area of Geneva. Getting in is slightly idiosyncratic with a bell and voice system partially obscured by the door to the next entrance. However the reception was staffed by a delightful and helpful young man who gave lots of information, free bus passes, maps, an extra key and discovered our breakfast preference (there is no restaurant, breakfast is brought to your door at your chosen half hour). The room really was extremely compact (it was adverties as compact) with an entrance through the small shower/washroom. The bed had just enough room around it for suitcases and a small table at the foot with two chairs. The room was extremely well soundproofed with a door to a small balcony with a view over the street. We were comfortable and slept well, though one night we did hear some rather noisy neighbours (in the hotel). Breakfast was a delicious croissant and a roll with some cheese and jam. there was a choice of tea or coffee and both were fine. We stayed three nights and the room served its purpose well. All was kept clean and tidy. The tram stop was a couple of hundred metres away to go east or west with convenient connections. Parking after 8 was free in nearby parking spaces but not easy to find a free slot. Very economical for one of the most expensive cities in the world!

This is not a hotel despite the name. 1000% hostel at best. Location is great nonetheless despite the strange settings of entrance and lobby. Guy at reception couldn’t care less about receiving guests. Rooms were scarily claustrophobic and need to be contortionist to navigate the toilets. Now the lady bringing in breakfasts another level of horror altogether. Don’t expect a happy polite person bringing in breakfast. A true reflection of the miserable attitude of everyone in Geneva. Not sure what their issues in this country but swiss definitely not someone I’d like to hang out with.

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay... Some of our rooms are small but if you suffer from claustaphobia you scould have told us and I am sure we could have found a solution. I will speak to our staff to see what went wrong there. Yes Geneva is an expensive town due to high rents and salaries...I am sorry about that. With best regards Erik Gangsted
