Nestled in a prime spot, the Hotel Beau-Rivage Genève garners praise for its luxurious amenities, including spacious rooms that combine classic elegance with modern touches. The panoramic lake views and the hotel's cleanliness are often highlighted by travelers, who also commend the professional and attentive staff.
Although some reviewers mention the decor feels a bit dated and question the value given the pricing, the hotel's location near Geneva's historical center and attractions, along with its inviting atmosphere, consistently impress guests.

Detailed Reviews
I stay here regularly but this was my first stay in a hotel since the start of the pandemic. The hotel was very hygiene conscious and we needed to wear masks whenever walking through the hotel or at the front desk.
It was also comforting to know as standard our room is left unoccupied 3 days after the previous guest left following a thorough disinfection procedure.
There was no breakfast buffet (as is now standard in hotels) and instead it's served in the room. My only criticism was that bacon is not included in the American breakfast on offer. Just eggs which I do not eat!! However hats off to the kitchen as they made every effort to satisfy my out of the ordinary breakfast requests and did manage to rustle up some bacon for me!
As usual the staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous, and it's always nice as a returning guest to be greeted by name on check-in. The room was spotless and we had a very "safe" feeling throughout our stay.
As always and despite the pandemic, everything ran like clockwise, as it always does and I'm looking forward to our next visit in December.
One other discovery we made, 2 minutes walk from the hotel to the lake, there is a small ferry service that takes you across to different parts of town. The added bonus is it's free of charge as the hotel gives you a Geneva Transport pass allowing free travel on the buses, boats etc.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Hotel Beau Rivage Geneve and were delighted by our stay! With the hotel's interior exuding old world charm coupled with our tastefully appointed room, our stay was made even more exceptional by the service we received from the hotel's staff. The warm welcome and special assistance from the receptionists, concierge and doormen, as well as the attentive service from the breakfast team were very much appreciated! Housekeeping was also prompt in responding to our requests. All of these made for a memorable stay and we highly recommend Hotel Beau Rivage Geneve!

I was honoured to have stayed at the Beau Rivage from December until end January 2020. This hotel is a melting pot of luxury collection, with a history of art and antique, providing a truly unique experience of elegance for business and leisure. The hotel has the best unique rooms and amazing bathrooms.
Well, upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by a wonderful Ms Margot her pleasant and friendliness made me feel welcomed. She has been a true Champion in assisting me to settle down at the hotel.
During check-in, I was greeted by most friendly and delightful staffs and the concierge who graciously arranged for my bags to be delivered to my room. All front desk staffs at this magnificent hotel went out of their way to ensure that my stay is truly memorable.
I wish to wholeheartedly thank Raphael Mathon for his exceptional customer care, which made my stay at the Beau Rivage an unforgettable experience.
The room services team have been splendid throughout my stay. They kept my room spotlessly clean with stunning décors. Ms. Samantha’s complimentary treat of my favourite Swiss platter of cheeses, fruits desserts were an absolute phenomenon.
The breakfast team at Le Chat-Botte led by Mr. Marco, a perfect gentleman, was unforgettable, their warm smiles and excellent service was always the best way for me to start a day, with a positive vibe.
I have enjoyed high-quality service at the bar and la Terrase Alpine. The team there is phenomenal
I also wish to thank and salute the "valets" at the entrance, their warm welcome makes the Beau Rivage a true Champion, please keep up a good job.
To the management of the Beau Rivage Hotel beautiful hotel, thank you for everything.
Cheers,
Kleo

I am visiting Geneva several times. This time I stayed at the luxurious hotel Beau-Rivage: perfect location, spacious rooms full of charme and history and with the Terrace and a Thai restaurant two great options to eat in the hotel.
The service is excellent, but the hotel is quite empty, good for visitors, bad for the private hotel. They have great deals at the moment, breakfast as room service only because of Covid-19.
I loved the rooms with views to the lake and no noise in them because of highest quality windows

We stayed here last night before heading up to the Alps, the hotel is small and very classy. Oozing character and the service was simply excellent!! Due to be Valentines Day the room service took a little longer (45 mins) and the staff was apologetic bringing chocolates and marshmallows. Breakfast was delightful with excellent service again. Still family owned, a little piece of charming Swiss history.
We will go back for longer next time!

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Beau Rivage because of its location and view on the lake and it’s beautiful history and artifacts. It’s like being in an old palace on another time and era. The food and beverage in room service as well as their famous La Terrase were excellent to say the least.
Where the hotel lost marks for us was in reservation, first room offered had partial view smaller than expected. Not renovated and I kept finding small spiders everywhere. After I have been promised a full lake view and a specific category room initially I was downgraded to a lower category with same price of higher category then when I wanted the category I had initially available that offer suddenly had changed and was no longer available despite me booking and finalizing within 2 days of offer week. Then the room available in my category again was no longer the same it was same size on lower floor with higher price than lower junior suite category.
I had to wait till next day where we moved eventually in the beau Rivage suite, newer slightly more spacious ans for sure better view, however it was on lower floor and instead of doing a free upgrade to make up for disappointment and let down they continued to insist on the higher difference with no real special compensation.
We moved in room following day very late in afternoon. They had forgotten to provide welcome fruits etc till I called reception.. it’s ok they tried but my expectations of this particular hotel with this historical and old world wealth was not met unfortunately. Also we left message with one staff for a feature that booking her forgot and we found our credit card already deducted for stay with additional difference early morning the day we were leaving and before our official check out or taking our permission to do so. It made me wonder but again added to my disappointment and my impressions of Geneva on the golden days. Sadly none of the staff showed up exceptional.. no personal or personalized attention was given which surprised me for a distinguished boutique an famous hotel like the beau rivage

The exceptionally started already by arriving at the hotel. The "Bellboys" were not boys at all, but grownups, impeccably dressed, speaking several languages. Check-in was absolutely painless, quick and efficiently done by Roxane, Perine and other charming and multilingual staff.
The hotel dates back to 1865, and the interior, fixtures and furniture showed that, all the most beautiful from each period had been kept. My wife of course loved the fresh flowers everywhere, and continuously wanted to make photos.
The room was equally enchanted, with beautiful view over Lake Geneva and the jet fountain. The most impressive, however, was the mattress. My wife always wake up with painful joints; on the room mattress she was totally free of pain (and god knows I have spent a fortune on mattresses at home).
Downstairs was a well equipped bar, even serving food, and I had an excellent "Perch du Lac" there. Breakfast was super with the best of service.
The absolute crown, however, was old gondola cabins on the terrace where different types of super tasting Cheese Fondue were served. The little cabins were so romantic that I definitely saw the same sparkle in my wife's eyes that was there as we met 20 years ago. The service of course impeccable.
I have lived in some of the world's best hotels; Orient Mandarin and Peninsula in Bangkok, Hassler in Roma, Cipriano and Gotti Palace in Venice, Claridge's and Ritz in London, Grand-Hotel Schloss Bensberg and Schloss Lehrbach in Germany to name some. Thus it is not for lack of comparison that I loved Beau Rivage; due to its family feeling I would put it on the top of them all.

When I entered my suite I said "wow" loud, and I don't know if it was for the view of the city landmark, the Jet D'Eau, or for the height and decor of the room.
The service is warm and friendly, which really helps, because the place could be intimidating. But it's not, and when I posted a photo o Instagram, many people wrote to me they had been to and had wonderful memories.
I went to the gym and ways very hungry, so at the end of my training I decided to eat some fresh fruits offered on a tray. Not happy yet, I "stole" some to finish eating in my room. When I entered the lift with the fruit wrapped in the hotel paper, a man smiled at me and I told him not to tell anybody.I met him later on and it turned out it was the hotel manager! I really felt embarrassed, but he made me feel so welcome, we ended up having a big laugh.
I even liked the lady who took care of my room - she was also very friendly and proactive.
A great experience.

We had a excellent 2 night stay last week. Concierge and reception staff were very accommodating, nice and helpful given we travelled with a lot of luggage and 2 months old baby. Room service is the only option to dine given COVID restrictions, but dishes and service were 5star.
Room was very spacious, decor is old-fashioned in style but of good quality.
Overall, very happy with the stay.
