Spent 3 nights early March this year in this quaint boutique hotel located in the old part of town. Very professional, accommodating and friendly service yet un-obtrusive. Everything seems to appear at the right time, at the right place! Seamless check-in is always appreciated after a long haul flight into an extremely well appointed and cozy room. I truly felt at home at Les Armures and will be back with great pleasure. PS: the hotel’s brasserie style restaurant serves excellent authentic local fare.

We stayed in the Hotel des Armures for 7 nights in Aug 2020. I had been a guest at the hotel many times over the years while doing business in Geneva. After this experience, I will NEVER RETURN. The hotel had 2 credit cards on file for us. They took the liberty of charging our cards everyday and not crediting our bill. We actually had to present our online banking transactions for them to credit our account with funds they had already received days before. They were completely unapologetic for this and it happened on two different bills they presented to us. Further, they would call our room at all hours of the day demanding more money - when the bill was already current. On our final day, three different people called our room from the front desk demanding more payment. Mind you, the bills were current and they curiously could never remember which card they had charged. We had 9 different unauthorized transactions from the hotel on our card! We felt chased and harassed every time we walked in or out of the hotel. They would pull us aside and present more invoices that had been settled days before. On the last day, they called the room four times trying to collect more funds. My wife lost it when she was woken from her nap. She told them to figure out their billing and hung up the phone. Moments later, there was an aggressive knock at our door. I answered and was met by the Swiss owner, a French-Moroccan receptionist and a doorman. The owner was yelling me that this was a five star hotel and how could my wife be so upset. I promptly informed him that I felt threatened and we would be leaving immediately. I travel all over the world logging over 100,000 air miles every year. I always stay in 5-star level hotels - and this is not a five star hotel. The WiFi is terrible. There are no amenities. They told us to come down and pick up our own food when we ordered room service. The two female front office staff were very nice, but it was obvious they were operating like scared puppies under the authoritarian direction of the owner. We spent over US$5000.00 in this hotel and we were treated like peasants. It was very obvious that the owner is having massive cash flow issues and was determined to solve them with our credit card. Don’t stay here. There are many better hotels in Geneva for the money. C. Burnett

As in most hotels, we request a one-night guarantee which was not possible to obtain with the client’s credit card displaying the “INSUFFICIENT FUNDS” message. Despite our several polite requests, the client had MAJOR DIFFICULTIES TO SETTLE HIS INVOICE. Furthermore, they left the room with a WALL STAINED WITH RED WINE AND A DAMAGED CARPET REQUIRING REPLACEMENT.

Charming luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the old town. Wonderful rooms that are cleverly designed with highest quality features and finishing. Do order in room breakfast, which is beautifully presented and very fairly priced - you will love it!

We arrived last night at 7.30pm expecting a nice hotel - we got an excellent, 5 star ‘Different’ experience. Very friendly staff, excellent dinner sitting outside in the shadow of St. Pierre Cathedral, then a great shower and very comfortable bed. Thank you Les Armures!

Everyone has its definition of luxury but for me, true luxury is when everything falls into place and goes unnoticed. I stayed at Hotel Les Armures with some friends while in transit to a ski resort. The hotel is located in a beautiful 17th century building in the heart of Geneva old town. The rooms are beautifully decorated, well equipped, cosy and beds are truly heavenly. Staff were welcoming, friendly, very professional and accommodating. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant which is apparently the oldest café in town. A no frills but laid-back ambience. Here again staff were very professional, and we noticed most of guests were returning locals, which is always a good sign. Dishes are truly Swiss and sourced locally. The wine list has a large Swiss wines assortment and a lot are available by the glass. Overall, a truly luxurious experience both product and service wise. A must try!
