This is probably my go-to hotel in Geneva and I have stayed here on a number of occasions. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Geneva Train station. The train station is only a 6 mins train ride from Geneva airport. The location of the hotel is absolutely fine on first glance, especially at the front of the hotel. It's on a busy street with lots of shops and fast-food restaurants. However, if your room is facing the back of the hotel, you will be looking over the red light district of Geneva. However, to put this into context, this is only a few streets and right in the middle of bustling shopping area so it is very populated and safe. The reception area is bright and modern with a nice bar and restaurant area which is now closed due to COVID, however, when it was open it was a nice place to have a coffee or a beer and watch the world go by. The staff have always been very friendly and engaging. The rooms are the standard decor and appeal of Ibis rooms. This is the midrange of the Ibis- not a budget and not a Styles. However, the room is a decent size for Geneva hotel rooms and the bed is always comfy. There is a small desk to work at and a good size tv with English channels. The rooms are cosy but comfy and well soundproofed too, including from the outside world. Open the blinds and window and you easily hear the hustle and bustle of the city. You are 5 mins walk from supermarkets and from the lake, so the location is great. They are also promoting their environmental efforts which is nice to see- dont need your room cleaned, then have a free drink or Accor points. Overall, a great hotel, decently priced and a standard that never slips. I will be there again.

Very conveniently situated a short walk from the Carnovin station. Reception staff member was very polite and helpful and we were able to check in earlier than the regular time. Room was very clean and tidy. There is a tv in the room. Soap at the basin and in the shower is in a dispenser. Unfortunate there is no kettle of coffee. There is a breakfast area near the reception and is optional. There is also a bar area. There are lots of kebab type food outlets in the same street as well as it being close to a variety of other restaurants across one if the main roads. Reasonably priced.

Don’t get me wrong, we all know when we’re booking an Ibis that we’re not in it for luxury. Sometimes a stopover, clean room and a serviceable shower is all that’s necessary. But man alive be aware when you’re booking this hotel. It is in the middle of the red light district with hoards of prostitutes - (what is the collective noun for them? Gaggle? Flock? Pack?) - lining every shop window and corner. Gangs parade the streets screaming at each other until 7am when the police seem to appear routinely to break them up. It’s dirty and downright dangerous It’s also unfair of me to criticise the Ibis for this - it’s not the fault of the staff or brand. And really, there was nothing wrong with the hotel room. Hence the two stars. But be aware of what you’ll find yourself in once you get here.

Well, there‘s not much to say, it‘s a typical ibis hotel. I stayed in this hotel for two consecutive nights and it was clean. The staff was very helpful and supported me, as I had to print out some documents and they didn‘t have a printer for guests. Unfortunately the area around the hotel is a bit dingy.

Really liked this place. All the equipment in the room was in good condition, clean and of good quality. Location seemed very good as close to the station and some excellent restuarants near by. TV had lots of channels which is good if you are away from home on your own. Only gripe was the shower head kept pointing down and wouldnt tighten up. Bed and duvet was of good quality and comfortable. Would have liked to have had tea/coffee facilities in the room.
