Stayed for three nights for a meeting. Rooms are dated, but adequate. Food and service were both really good. Staff were quite entertaining! A bit off the beaten path, but a nice find. We were here during Basel World week, lucky to even get rooms here I guess.

I stayed just 1 night for business and did not really have time to enjoy the beautiful area. The hotel setting is absolutely beautiful, tranquil and well set on the hill. The access road is challenging as the road is too narrow for 2 cars but I enjoyed the drive up anyhow. Reception was good and friendly. The room was...

The hotel is known in the north western region of Switzerland as a great place for weddings, business retreats and other events. It offers a variety of rooms for parties, meetings, workshops etc. Some of the bedrooms are a bit small though. The kitchen is excelent and the staff is very friendly. The location is beautiful. The hotel is surrounded...

I paid a visit and stayed stayed overnight over a week-end at this hotel in Oct 2015. The taxi driver had a very difficult time to find out the hotel at first place (appreciate better direction boards). Once inside the hotel, this looked like an old palatial building and got a front facing room. Good things first. The place is...

I've been in this hotel because all Basel hotel was fully booked. The hotel is at 30 minutes away from Basel, in th countryside. The room are small but nice and the staff is very nice and welcoming. Breakfast is served in a nice room with a great view on the garden. It's a nice option to relax from Basel.

I have now spent three weeks at this hotel and like it very much. It is in a beautiful setting and really peaceful. The staff is attentive to all your needs and more than accommodating. The food is wonderful, but plan to pack on a few kilos if you are there for more than a night. Highly recommend this location...

Terrible hotel- picture The Shining but preserved in time. Where do I begin, totally outdated hotel rooms- looks like a retirement home and the beds are so worn I can feel the imprint of the last occupant. There is actually no bar which must be a first for a hotel in the developed world! The staff really just want you...

Stayed for a few days for a work conference. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, very peaceful. The conference facilities are good, the food is good and the staff are very friendly. There is free wifi throughout the hotel which has very good download speeds. The only thing that lets this place down are the rooms. For a hotel...

My wife and I stayed here as part of seminar we were conducting. While the sleeping rooms are fairly basic the staff was outstanding both prior to the program and during the time we were in attendance. The meeting rooms and food were first rate and is a place I would go back to again. While their is no fitness...

This hotel is a nice, classical hotel close to Basel (about 20-30mins by car). When you enter Liestal you need to take a road to Bad Schauenburg, which is up in the hills, a bit like the end of civilization. But it's worth it - the rooms are rather basic, restaurant serves good classical Swiss food. Seminar facilities are very...
