We had a budget room for approx £100 for a twin for 2 nights. The room didn't have a toilet or shower but that was just down the corridor and was clean and hot. The 5th floor we were only only had the lift to the 4th floor but that was easy to walk. We arrived by car and reception...

location is not great unless you are therefore for an exhibition or a huge noisy luna park. hotel is basic, with spartan room and not very good insulation. the bed was particularly uncomfortable. free transport with reservation but it is the same with all hotels

One night stay on way to Germany. Spacious, very clean room, nice view on quiet courtyard side. Good location as trams 6 and 14 stop across street and takes you to old town for free (when visiting Basel).Or, can walk in 15min. Staff very friendly, welcoming and acommodating with directions. Took taxi from train station for 27 CHF.

Stayed here for two nights in a visit to Basel to attend a concert. Check in was easy and the receptionist spoke English, upon arrival in my room, I had two single beds and ample and I mean ample space to move around. The room was very clean, smelled fresh and had chairs and a balcony. My room was huge...

I booked this hotel though Booking and it was one of the cheapest options in Basel. All the hotels have high rates and were very busy so I was lucky to find a room there. The room is simple, clean and very very very small. For one night was OK, but if you have to spend more than one night...

Stayed here for a couple of days on business. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is in a great location for seeing Basle. Close to plenty of restaurants and bars. The hotel doesn't have a bar but there are plenty in the area.

Yes, the hotel is conveniently located, yes the hotel rooms are clean (it is Switzerland!), yes, the bathroom is small, yes the wifi is available but only in the lobby and finally, yest the hotel is dated. For other hotels I would strongly reccommend a make-over, but with the knowledge that the hotel will be gone aprox. 1 year from...

Basel was pretty busy end-September and we were lucky to get a room. However, we were quite satisfied with it. The rooms were very basic - no fridge/air-conditioner (not that we needed it while we were there). The staff was extremely helpful. Free tram/bus passes were a great boon. A lot of construction work going on opposite the hotel but...
