This hotel was lovely, it provided everything we wanted for a city break in Basel. It is clean, and fun. The staff are helpful and welcoming, dinner and breakfast were good. The only tiny issue I had was the lack of parking for unloading suitcases...More
The staff is friendly and breakfast is good, however they put us on the third floor of the building (without elevator) and we had to carry up our luggage by ourselves. It was a spring day with around 23 degrees outside, but inside the room...More

Dear Rick H.,
Thank you very much for your message. As already responded by other tripadvisor customers, we offer a private parking nearby. It is only a four-minute walk from our Hotel and the walk offers you a beautiful impression of Basels old town. It costs CHF 25.00 per day and we recommend you booking parking in advance, since place is limited. The nearby parking called "Steinen" is another option in case our parking is fully booked. Costs remain the same, approximately 5-6 minutes walking distance.
You are more than welcome parking your car in our hotel drive for unloading/uploading your lugagge and we are happy to give you directions to the mentioned parking options.
We hope this message was helpful and look forward to welcoming you probably one day in basel.
With our best regards,
and the Teufelhof Team!

I wouldn't like to comment for fear of misleading you. I suggest calling the Teufelhof and asking the question. August will probably be hot & potentially humid but the hotel is solidly built so may stay cool.
