Very nice and comfortable hotel, great staff, great location - close to transit and shopping. Bathroom is big and bright. Fresh fruits provided every evening and there is the very nice coffee machine which can made different types of drinks.

It was my second stay at the Euler hotel in Basel and both of my stays exceeded my expectations. The hotel is centrally located about 150 yards from the central train station and the Basel Euroairport bus stop. The rooms are clean and large for European hotel rooms. Staff in the hotel is excellent and will remember your preferences in...

Although we only had a short stay for business, the hotel was very comfortable. And, the staff was very friendly. The hotel building itself is an older structure, but the interior has been well maintained and the rooms updated. I rested very comfortably. I very much enjoyed their breakfast.

Central location Stone throw away from the central train station, bus stops, tram depot, patisserie shops and we'll known food outlets. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Disappointed with cleanliness, size of room, two single duvets on a double deluxe bed with half undone duvet cover, no response from housekeeping when attempted to call, small pillow brought with a massively oversized pillow...

Dear guest we thank you for choosing the Euler for you stay in Basel as well as for sharing your experience with other travellers. We feel concerned about your feedback regarding cleanliness as sparkling clean rooms are one of our strengths. Therefore we would like to learn more about the service points the remained below your expectation. I am at...

The room had obviously been freshly redone (the mirror still had the installation tape on it!). Room sizes are small (as many are in Basel). The toilet (I mean the one to sit on) was very small and low and steep (not much of a seat). The breakfast had a lovely selection of cereals, yogurt, bakery, etc. although nothing warm...

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights due to business reasons. At the time of booking, it was the only one available for a reasonable price. The hotel is a 3-star hotel, but it was much nicer than that, with a bellboy, piano player in the bar at night and a very cool room with walk-in shower and stiff...

Dear guest Many thanks for your review. Since you mention a 3 star hotel, we assume that you stayed at the hotel City Inn during the Baselworld fair. This would explain the higher rate. We appreciate your feedback, also regarding you dinner experience in our restaurant. Your points are well noted. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon again....

This is my second stay at the Euler and I have no intention of staying anywhere else when traveling to Basel. I found this hotel online when I used to book travel for my directors, and they have been staying here ever since when in Basel. I think the location is perfect. I love that it's so close to the...

Delightful Hotel 5 mins walk from Basel SBB - extremely comfortable and clean rooms - friendly helpful staff - and if you are travelling on business the Bahnhofplatz is at the front door for easy access to trams and buses all over the city - they even gave me a free travelcard for the duration of my stay - all...

The Hotel Euler is in a great location. Its right across the street from the train station and as soon as you walk out the hotel, you can catch many trams. Location was excellent, directly across from train station and only several blocks from business destination. I knew the building was relatively old - I believe that a hotel has been operating in the building for some 140 years - so I set my expectations accordingly. (Besides, if I'd wanted a more generic US-like experience, I could have stayed at the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Euler was built in 1867 by Abraham Euler and is one of the earliest tributes to high-end hospitality in Europe. Since 1981 it has belonged to the Manz Family. This elegant four stars superior hotel was completely refurbished in May 2008 in a modern style, still keeping the traditional elegance of a grand hotel. It has 66 rooms, 6 of which are junior suites. All rooms offer the highest in comfort and modern technology and combine modernity with tradition and design. The Euler restaurant and bars combine seasonal specialities with classic traditional dishes and cater to all needs, from a hearty breakfast to a fast business lunch to a cosy candle light dinner. In the summer time the Euler Terrace is one of Basel’s main meeting points, for a quick coffee or an aperitif. A Starbucks coffee shop on premises completes the food and beverage offer. ... more   less
