I have recently returned from a business trip to Basel and stayed at the Hotel St. Gotthard for 2 nights. If you're looking for a warm friendly welcome then look no further. The family owners are very active with the guests which gives you a homely feeling making this hotel stand out from the typical chains that can be found...

Room quite normal, as the breakfast. The location is very convenient (in the train station square), but the price is badly high. The real problem is the staff: they are there to let you have a pleasant stay, but they act as they should affirm themselves against the customer. Very bad.

Had a lovely stay here for three nights over New Year. The room was lovely, clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Free wifi in our room with a strong signal. Hotel is conveniently located right by the train station - bus to the airport and trams to other parts of the town right outside the hotel. Tourists is...

The photos do no justice to this beautifully decorated hotel. Every object, from the sheets to the lamps to the art on the walls, has been selected with an unerring eye. The same attention goes into the buffet breakfast, a generous early morning feast which is one of the best in all of Europe! The central location of this family-run...

We were very happy staying at this hotel. The room was very clean with welcoming choices of decorations, and colorings. The bathroom was clean, and the over hanging shower head with right level of pressure melted away the tiredness from traveling. The staffs were friendly, and very informative! The location was perfect for getting around the town, and there are...

The slogan of the hotel is "Come as a guest, leave as a friend" and this is truly what happened. Its clear that the team of this hotel loves working here, and have done so for a long time. You are recognised and welcomed everywhere you go. The family who runs the hotel (and their lovely dog) are actively involved...

I travel a lot for business purposes, the first thing that the receptionist said was welcome to your home for the next 24 hours. And he was right. The equipment of the room was perfect, the hotel was familiar, welcoming.Choice of pillows were great. There was an extra card in the room for electricity, so I didnt have the usual...

I stayed at this hotel on business for 4 days. The decor is really interesting - lots of ecletic sculptures and pieces of art all over the lobby. The hotel has 3 elevators, each one leading towards a different section of the hotel. This is a corner hotel and faces 3 different directions. My room was very clean and neat....

The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good and variety. Hotel is located in just a corner from tram station and also only cross the street to meet train station. We would also stay here again if we have chance to visit Basel. It would be great if the price has a little lower rate. There...

The hotel is spotless, the rooms extremely comfortable, free mini bar (soft drinks, beer, water) and lovely toiletries, the staff friendly and accommodating, we felt nothing was too much trouble for them and it was great to have to option of a late breakfast after New Years Eve. The location was perfect, with bus/tram stops on your door step and...
