We had half board ( booked through Broadway Travel) and were impressed with the quality and variety of all our meals. Daniele in the restaurant was always helpful and Natasha in the kitchen gave us an excellent Italian cookery lesson. Room was clean and airport pickups went smoothly. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the town centre and... More

This is a five star review because this hotel provides great service despite being a little faded. Most people come here for a cheap break and this hotel provides good value. The welcome from the manager, Tiziana at 2 am was tremendous and although we missed breakfast the next morning she took us to the dining room to introduce us... More

We had booked through Broadway Travel so it was an inexpensive break. The hotel is quite tired & not overly clean. All the staff were nice enough but as we didn't have great weather somewhere comfortable to sit & have a 'proper' coffee would have been nice. Breakfast was barely adequate, the evening meal was nice but not really enough... More

Nine friends booked to stay for 5 nights as a base for visiting Assisi and the surrounding area. I cannot praise the staff highly enough - they were friendly, extremely helpful and considerate. As a budget hotel it was superb value for money. The rooms, whilst simple, were kept spotlessly clean. They had a fridge, air conditioning, TV, en-suite shower... More

Sporting Hotel Gubbio is a strange building, looking as though it was put together from pre-fabricated parts - in fact, I'm pretty sure it was. But inside it's a pleasant place, with very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are good, the food is good and the situation is convenient - 2 minutes to a coffee bar and only a... More

This is a relatively small hotel and the staff are very friendly. The food was excellent every day and the cooking lesson was really enjoyable. The sporting hotel is a 5 minute walk from the old town of Gubbio and 5 minutes walk from the Roman amphitheatre so it's in a very good position. We went to the sister hotel... More

We had five nights in this hotel, half board, with transfers, a tourist train ride and cooking lesson included. Hotel is very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom very nicely appointed. The management are aware that the decor is a bit dated and are hoping to address that in the winter season. We brought a power adaptor with... More

Firstly The Hotel is definitely not a 4* It's clean and the food is good and the staff are excellent but they can only do what they can do with a tired and desperately in need of a refurbishment Hotel. It was like stepping back into the 60's. The food is typically Italian which we liked, we only made it... More

We stayed as a group of four on a Broadway break. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our rooms by Pepe. The rooms were a bit dated but very clean with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean with sufficient towels/bath mat/toiletries. The evening meals were from a choice of three dishes for starter/mains/dessert. We had... More
