The entrance to the hotel is really nice. Unfortunately the room did not quite live up to that standard. Whilst clean, neat and comfortable sleeping it was a bit to small for my liking. The bathroom is tiny. Fortunately the shower has a curtain instead of a hard door and so it made showering relatively painless. The hotel is however...

This hotel is very cosy, cleaned and the owners (family business ) treat you kindly. Laura is an angel!!!Quality/price very good, great location just few hundreds metres from the lift to take you uphill. Also, they have a restaurant...yummy! I can't wait to go back. And Gubbio is a little jewel.

A wonderful family run budget hotel with a very big cosy restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food is good and very reasonably priced. Try the Florentine Steak ( but share) they are amazing. Would definately recommend, in a great central location.

I have been a few times in Gubbio and in this hotel. It is a family business, the hotel is basic but confortable in a nice location to visit the town. The restaurant is amazing! The food is really good & fresh, with the good weather you can sit down in their garden. The family who run it is really...

The Grotta dell'Angelo is a good budget hotel, well situated in the historic town so as to be within convenient walking distance of all the primary sites. We parked in the monitored lot at the foot of Via Repubblica and walked the short distance to the hotel, rolling our bags along the cobblestone streets. Our room was small and basic,...

Located in an ideal spot in downtown Gubbio, this hotel couldn't be better positioned to the major sights and an abundance of restaurants. The rooms are run down and basic, but the only thing that really peeved me was the lack of power points. Not a deal breaker, but the restaurant in the hotel is good! Expect decent food at...

Room was small and basic. Hotel restaurant was full, but poor service with one waitress serving 20 tables. The food was average, the duck was dissapointing. Good location at the center of the old town, competitive price.

On a wet September day in Gubbio we had lunch at Grottaa dell'Angelo. There was a fire blazing in the fireplace. The room was rustic and warm. We started with sharing a baked scarmozza, a remembrance of fondues past, and went on to pasta and an unusual meat stuffed rabbit dish. Just the place to revive our enthusiasm for touring...

Well located on a quiet street in, close to everything. The room however was a bit worn, lacking charm. Very competitive price, and the restaurant of the same company seemed to have bit higher profile to these two-star rooms of upstairs.

Very central to everything you could need in the lovely medieval town of Gubbio. It is very quiet and the rooms are small and basic. There was only one pillow per person so I used some blankets to give my head the extra life I needed. No air conditioning but at the time of year we were there it was...
