This hotel is in the very heart of Assisi, so parking is non existent. You will have to walk with your bags uphill most of the way. However, the hotel has charm from the old stone exterior, to the simple rooms with most conveniences. The bathroom has no shower stall, only the shower nozzle, so keep your items outside while showering. I only spoke to a young woman who ran the souvenir shop outside the hotel, never met the owners or the managers. Free coffee is a big bonus and housekeeping was impeccable. I did not have the opportunity to have breakfast at the sister restaurant, so I cannot comment. The price is the biggest selling point. It almost seemed too cheap for this room in this town at this location.

We chose this place for it’s location and the reviews, it was quite tricky to find initially, when we got there it looked closed, fortunately someone was nearby to assist us with information about parking. You need to park right at the top of the hill, as the accommodation is right in the heart of things, and walk back, so don’t have too big a case! Service was friendly and faultless, the room cosy and clean. We had one or two issues with our stay, we were in room 2, it had the loudest and longest (25 minutes, we counted) toilet flush and refill. Also, this is at the ‘front’ of the property and it was SO noisy until gone 1am both nights we were there, noise commenced again around 5am, street cleaning and deliveries we think. There is no air conditioning, so we needed to have the window open or it would have been too hot. Breakfast was served at a restaurant in the main piazza and was adequate. This is a perfectly pleasant place to stay if you don’t mind the issues I’ve mentioned but we would be very unlikely to choose it again.

Nice breakfast in the AM and tea time in the afternoon. A cozy tower at the top with view of surrounding area. Two minute walk to Piazza and nearby restaurants. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and small terrace and beautiful view. There is no parking or driving in the old city. We parked in the car park with a ten minute walk to hotel. It's hilly, but you will survive! We plan to return next year.

What can I say for the wonderful hotel stay we had in Assisi. The location, service, comfortable rooms, beautiful view of the city at the top where you can enjoy a drink. Kitchen open in the afternoon for tea.. And very modest and kind owner Stefano, who is so attentive. In short I fell in love with this lovely hotel. Go to Umbria. Stay in Hotel Pallotta for days and enjoy the other towns nearby. Thats what we did.

This hotel is in a very central location, everything is within easy reach with a bus stop and taxis nearby. There are numerous restaurants, shops, etc. within a stone's throw. Stephano, the owner, is a very calm, warm and friendly host reflecting the general atmosphere of the hotel. They also own a restaurant that does a very good 3-course 'tourist' meal for 18 euros which includes a glass of wine! The continental breakfast at the hotel offers a great choice of fruits and cereals, freshly baked rolls, croissants and yoghurts, etc. Residents are welcome to have afternoon tea/coffee and cake from approx 3-6pm at no extra charge. Our room was cosy but adequate. The bed was comfortable and our room and ensuite were cleaned every day which included a change of sheets and towels. There is a small quiet room on the top floor with tea & coffee facilities and it has the most amazing panoramic view of Assisi! If we ever return to Assisi, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
