My wife & I stayed at St Anthony's for several days in September 2015. St Anthony's is conveniently located within the old town just 4-5 minutes walk along Via Galeazzo Alessi from Piazza del Comune (the town centre), and is just across the road from the bottom of the 2-stage public elevator connecting to the bus terminal in Piazza G...

friendly English speaking nuns. Would love to return. Breakfast is plentiful, cereal,,yoghurt, baking, spreads, cheese and more. Clothesline if you do some hand washing. Very quiet, excellent nights sleep. Informative and helpful. Buy your bus ticket from the sisters. Excellent shower with lovely soap provided. Wifi only works in sitting area, not rooms. Total security for a single female traveler.

I stayed there 3 nights and wanted to stay longer. I had a room that had a fabulous view of the land and rooftops and St. Clare's church. Common rooms had that view too. Even in July, the room, without air conditioning, was very comfortable. There was always a lovely breeze and the ceiling fan was perfect. Best thing of...

Sister Susan and her welcoming staff are delightful. They greet you by name when you return to the entry gate, smile contagiously, and invite you to breakfast, prayer, and cappucino, water, sodas, and wine! I plan to return for a longer stay!!

I would not consider returning to Assisi and stay anywhere else! The Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement share their wonderful home and hospitality like no other! Rooms are simple, clean with renovated baths. Amazing views from the library (wonderful array of books and a fabulous album available about everything you need to know in Assisi) and sitting room offers a...

My husband and I stayed here for 11 nights while he was painting an icon of St Francis in a small group with tuition from Helen. It was with Icon Adventures. Sister Sue and the other nuns and lay members made us feel at home. There's a secure buzzer system to gain entry and by the second evening she had...

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days while she was painting an icon with a master teacher. We have stayed in Assisi before and it is a very peaceful place. However, our time at St. Anthony's has been over the top excellent. The sisters who run the house are wonderful, especially Sister Sue whose sunny disposition just lights...

Stayed with a group for 6 nights. Only problem was lack of disabled facilities in room, which made it very difficult to use bathroom (wheel-chair would not go through narrow doorway). Wifi only apparently worked in one part of building.

It was a warm experience in staying St Anthony's guesthouse. Sister Bianca walked us through the guesthouse when we arrived. The keyholder is Tau-shaped. When sister opened the door of the balcony, wow!, postcard liked Basilica di Santa Chiara with valley background was in front of me. Each morning, I sat on the balcony, looking at Santa Chiara Basilica, saying...
