Horrible experience. Clean rooms but food! Oh My God! for what you pay for really very little and of poor quality, badly cooked! overcooked pasta, unseasoned and very little! doses for birds! Chicken hard and icy with four pieces of old potatoes and harsh! the waitresses rude Very bad reception, awful English and rude. My God! house of God!

This place was wonderful for our group of 10 people. The staff and the Sisters were very accommodating and easy to work with. The view from the second floor patio is heaven on earth! There is no A/C but that is not a problem because even in July, while we were there, the summer time nights become nice and cool....

We found this large monastery though Monastery Stays and booked because it showed beautiful views of the valley and the Basilica of St. Francis. Our twin bedded room had a balcony so we could view another part of the monastery and the garden below with a nun working and chickens running around. Quiet and peaceful with murals on the walls...

A stay in this monastery is like a page off a medieval history book. A quiet meditative atmosphere, this monastery turned hotel is still home to nine Benedictine nuns. The room we had was spacious and austerely furnished...no TV. The bathroom was sizable and fixtures were ideal for the elderly and handicapped. Like most hotels inside the city walls, it...

Please understand that this is a Benedictine monastery of about 10 nuns. Its in the tradition of their order to offer hospitality. It is not trying to pass itself off as a commercial , competitive, hotel. Anyone who has been on a spiritual retreat will understand and appreciate that they try to keep costs to a minimum to allow access...

I stay here every time I come to Assisi which is every other year. The staff, the Sisters, and the home are all so very welcoming and wonderfully peaceful.
