My wife and I had a fabulous time at Villa Daniella. We booked the wine pairing with lunch. We were first met with Mrs. Veronica (owner of the property). She gave us the entire tour with the help of Gemma (very sweet) Not many places anywhere, in which, you have the owner giving you the tour. The food and wine were outstanding. We bought a case of their outstanding wine to be shipped home. To get to meet the owner, her husband and father was a cherry on the top. If you have a rental car, this is the place to visit. She really loves what she does and loves to share her history! Mike and Sheri Kinslow
Our room was nice and large with an air conditioner. Breakfast was very poor - hard bread and cold eggs with leftovers from weddings. There was no possibility of any meals there. We did not have a car for two days so had to get a taxi to go for meals. They had two weddings while we were there and we felt in the way. The common areas and the grounds were used by the wedding so we had no where to go but our bedroom. On the other days, the common areas were locked up at 6 p.m. so again, could only use bedroom. One day, the owner asked me if my wife and I wanted to sign up for a wine tasting and “beautiful lunch.” I said my wife didn’t drink, but she said it would be very special. It was €70 for 2. Awful food. Desert was Biscotti dipped in a tiny bit of their desert wine. We were very bored and unhappy. It is a nice setting, but the service to overnight guests is very poor. I think they really only want to cater for weddings and have large groups for wine tasting. We would never stay there again.…
I wanted this to be one of the best places I stayed at during my Tuscany visit. I chose this location so I could do a wine tasting and dinner on site for a relaxing stay. Unfortunately when I arrived I was told that there were no wine tastings that day which I had no idea there were days they didn’t do tastings. Also the restaurant was not open which was also a disappointment as I wanted to have a relaxing last night stay with my husband before we flew to Madrid. My suggestion is for the B&B to be more transparent about when the winery and restaurant are open as I felt I was deceived based on the reviews and website.
WWe enjoyed our stay of 3 nights at Villa Dianella near Vinci. The rooms were very comfortable, accomodations pleasant, clean and well cared for. We were fortunate to meet the owners as well as staff. owners very engaged in their agribusiness and keeping large estate in good condition.
You cannot find a better place to stay. You are welcomed and treated like family. The owner is beyond beautiful. The rooms were decorated so elegant and comfortable. The grounds....a Dream. The gated enterance leads up to the villa. Day or night it is beautiful. I am hoping to come back and stay longer and explore more. I can not recommend this villa enough to anyone that is looking for a Tuscan winery to stay, relax and eat. Don’t forget to try a cooking class and take the winery tour ❤️
